Four performances of works by Robert Schumann. András Schiff plays 'Kreisleriana op.16' and 'Symphonic Etudes op.13' in a performance recorded in 1990. Also featured are Zoltan Kocsis performing 'Kindersceneand' in 1990, and the Takács Quartet performing 'Piano Quintet op.44' in 1991.

The celebrated Hungarian pianist András Schiff plays a selection of popular Bach keyboard pieces recorded in 1989. The featured works are: 'Italian' Concerto, BWV 971; Capriccio in B flat major, BWV 992; Suite No. 5 in G major, BWV 816, and Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue, BWV 903.

Recorded live at the Verbier Festival in 2011, German pianist Lars Vogt plays a selection of works by Janácek, Schubert, Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart and Chopin. Gábor Takács-Nagy conducts. The works featured are: Janácek: In the Mists; Schubert: Piano Sonata in G major, D. 894; Beethoven: Piano Sonata No. 32 in C minor, Op. 111; Brahms: Intermezzo, Op. 117 No. 1; Mozart: Piano Concerto No. 16 in D major, K. 451 and Chopin: Nocturne No. 20, Op. posth.

The Kreutzer Quartet performs four 20th century pieces written for string quartet. The quartet, comprised of Peter Sheppard Skærved on violin, Mihailo Trandafilovski on violin, Morgan Goff on viola and Neil Heyde on cello, apply their talents to Stravinsky's 'Three Pieces for String Quartet' (1914), Lutoslawski's 'String Quartet' (1964), Ligeti's 'String Quartet No. 2' (1968) and Finnissy's 'Second String Quartet' (2007).
