Set in Dresden's open-air Theatre Square, GREAT STARS OF OPERA assembles some of the world's greatest opera singers for one amazing night filled with vocal talent. Performing to a crowd of over 15,000 people, singers such as Neil Shicoff, Cincenzo La Scola, Agnes Baltsa, and Anna Tomowa-Sintow present classic scenes from operas including La Traviata, Die Fledermaus, Tosca, and Carmen.

Recorded at Rome's Accademia di Santa Cecilia in 2004, Claudio Abbado conducts the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester in this performance of Mahler's Symphony No.9.
