One of the pinnacles of British silent cinema, 'Piccadilly' is a showbiz melodrama seething with sexual and racial tension. The sensuous tabletop dance of Shosho, a scullery maid in a fashionable London nighclub, catches the eye of club owner Valentine Wilmot. She soon rises to become the toast of London and the object of his erotic obsession.
A local biker-gang leader (Mickey Rourke), despite reforming his ways, is still the hero of local adolescents. His younger brother (Matt Dillon) idolises him, even though his mentor strives to persuade him that he has done nothing to be proud of. Shot in black and white (with occasional touches of colour), this is an atmospheric rites-of-passage tale with a musical score by Stewart Copeland and featuring many members of the so-called eighties 'Brat Pack'.
Will Smith plays boxing legend Muhammad Ali in this much-anticipated biopic from director Michael Mann. Beginning with Ali's 1964 World Heavyweight Championship victory over Sonny Liston, and moving through his subsequent involvement with the Nation of Islam and refusal to be drafted during the Vietnam war, the film tells of Ali's rise to fame, the years in which he was banned from boxing due to his political and religious commitments, and his triumphant return in the early 1970s, culminating in the famous Rumble in the Jungle. Also stars Jon Voight as sports commentator Howard Cosell, Jamie Foxx as Ali's friend Drew 'Bundini' Brown, and Mario Van Peebles as Malcolm X.
Would-be ballerina Sara (Julia Stiles) is forced to abandon her dancing plans when she leaves her smalltown home and moves to live with her estranged father in the dangerous South Side of Chicago. As a white girl in a predominantly black neighbourhood, Sara finds it a struggle to settle in, but when she meets black fellow-dancer Derek (Sean Patrick Thomas), she begins to feel much happier. The two set out together to realise their dreams, but as their relationship develops it brings forth major opposition from both their friends and their families, putting their future as a couple in jeopardy.

Spending the day wandering the streets of London taking drugs, getting into fights, and indulging in underage sex, the gang slip ever further into a life of crime. In 'Adulthood' (2008), six years after killing his gang rival, Sam Peel (Clarke) is released from prison. He is soon confronted by those he hurt before his incarceration. Some have carried on with their lives, while others still have to deal with the repercussions of Sam's actions that fateful night. As he struggles to deal with his feelings of guilt, Sam soon finds his life threatened by a group of youths out for revenge. Finally, in 'Brotherhood' (2016), still struggling to come to terms with the events that saw him jailed for murder, Sam Peel again finds himself the target of local youths looking to get even. After realising he must face his tormentors head-on if he is to move on with his life, Peel seeks help from old friends in an attempt to finally break free from a chequered past that continues to haunt him.

Fred Ballinger (Caine) is a retired composer and conductor and his friend Mick Boyle (Keitel) is a working film director. The septuagenarian friends are on a vacation at a luxury resort at the foot of the Alps, where they ponder their children's confused lives, Mick's eager young writers and the other guests at the hotel which include aspiring actor Jimmy Tree (Paul Dano), diva Jane Fonda (playing herself) and Fred's daughter and assistant Leda (Rachel Weisz). Whilst Mick works to finish the screenplay for what he anticipates will be his final significant film, Fred expresses no interest in picking up his musical career again, but a request from a well-known monarch makes him reconsider. The star-studded cast also includes current Miss Universe Madalina Ghenea.
Dito Montiel directs this touching drama starring Robin Williams in his final performance as Nolan Mack, a married middle-class bank clerk in his 60s who enjoys living his life through routines. On a whim one evening, Nolan travels to a different part of town and meets gay prostitute Leo (Roberto Aguire) which causes him to question his sexuality. As a result of this awakening, Nolan reflects on the course of his rather conventional life and contemplates what he wishes for his life now, all the while wrought with guilt and regret over his marriage. The cast also includes Kathy Baker and Bob Odenkirk.
