Children are naturally drawn to animals. Sooner or later the child
will ask for a pet of their own. This book will help your child
learn about the care of a pony. It also has fun activities all
pertaining to ponies such as fill in the missing vowels, word find
puzzles, mazes, questions and answers, a pledge for the child to
promise to care for the pony, and a care chart for the child to
keep track of the daily care of the pony. The book is written from
the pony's point of view. A sure fun read for children.
Nancy is not thankful to be a cow. She hates to moo and hates
chewing her cud. She wishes she was a bee flitting around on
beautiful flowers and making honey. Then one day she overhears two
bees, one saying how it wished to be a cow and get to lie down and
chew cud instead of having to work all day long. Nancy realizes
that all creatures are special and is now satisfied and thankful
with being a cow.
Having enjoyed these stories as a child and watching her own
children entertained by them as well, she decided to capture them
into written form to share with others and to preserve the memories
of her Grandma. Tony was a mischievous horse who clearly had a mind
and personality all his own. Tony is a children's reading book
geared to ages 5-7 with some blend words as well as to the young
listener. The chapters are short, giving the young reader a feeling
of accomplishment. Children enjoy stories about animals, especially
ones with personality. These stories and illustrations help to fuel
the imagination.
