This elegant gift box holds a stunning reproduction of the Visconti-Sforza tarot deck alongside a book providing its history and guidance for interpreting and using the cards, with a purple satin cloth to lay out for your readings. The tarot is much more than mere pictures on cards-the pictures are physical symbols for spiritual concepts. The images are symbolic representations of archetypal forces and/or beings which have always existed and have been identified and passed on to us by ancient initiates and which provide a focus for us to use in self-initiation, spiritual development, and the perception of hidden wisdom. The tarot deck included in this gorgeous set was commissioned around 1451 by the Visconti and Sforza families, and it is one of the oldest tarot decks in existence. The images on the cards have been faithfully recreated, showing members of the Sforza and Visconti families in period garments. The borders of these majestic cards are adorned with gold metallic ink. The accompanying book provides a history of Visconti-Sforza cards, 35 of which are now in the collection of the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York City. The symbolism of the different cards is described, along with explanations of different ways to arrange the cards when seeking information about different aspects of life.

Whispers of twilight twist in the corners of your soul. Surreal images surprise your mind. Colors and curves delight your eyes. Bittersweet beauty stirs your heart. You change, grow wiser, and find that the world is complicated, but no less beautiful. Publisher Review: Honesty is imperative. You must know from the start: I love this deck. My heart was lost to it almost a year ago when I was in Italy working in the Lo Scarabeo offices. Riccardo Minetti, the editor there, pulled out Cristina's original artwork and that was, as they say, that. Later, the little flame in my heart was fanned--again by Riccardo--into a bonfire when I was asked to write the dreaded Little White Booklet. If you think using those books is frustrating, try writing them! Luckily, Riccardo turned what could have been a wretched experience into a magical one. He knows that my "mental deck" is the Rider-Waite-Smith deck. He knows that it is my wont to force all decks into that mold. So he instructed me to just sit with this art, one picture at a time and forget what card it is supposed to be and what the Rider-Waite-Smith version looks like. Just sit with the art and write down what it says. And so I did. And in doing so, [read more]

· A brand new tarot deck and first set in the heyday of English Magic · Dynamic, graphic-novel style design · Each card has a secret code · This complete tarot set includes a 160 page book and 78 cards. This captivating new tarot deck draws us into the vibrant but often hidden world of English magic, evoking a golden age of mysticism when the likes of John Dee was Queen Elizabeth's Court Astrologer, antiquarian John Aubrey began to rediscover ancient sacred sites, and even the great physicist Isaac Newton study alchemy. During this time of upheaval archetypal forces were very much at play. The monarchs and mountebanks, visionaries and fools, knights and vagabonds that shaped the world are all there in the tarot too, making this a perfect setting for the cards. Brought to you by renowned artist Rex Van Ryn, colorist Steve Dooley, and writer Andy Letcher, this deck has a dynamic, graphic style. The cards contain a depth and movement more associated with graphic novels than the tarot, and accordingly this new pack offers a captivating way to take charge of the stories we tell about our own lives. Early Modern English magic was built on foundations laid down by the ancient stone-circle builders, the Druids, the Romano-British and the Anglo-Saxons, and readers will see traces of these throughout the cards. There are unique twists to some of the traditional images, with riddles, references and lore buried within them that will draw users ever deeper into the mystery and meaning of the cards. The first deck of its kind to draw explicitly on the English magical tradition, The English Magic Tarot opens up a rich new pathway into the cards that will delight novice and experienced tarot users alike. CONTENTS INTRODUCTION From the Reformation to the Restoration A brief overview of this colourful period of English history. PART ONE: WHAT IS ENGLISH MAGIC? An introduction An introduction to English magic. The foundations laid down by pre-Christian peoples. Hermes Trismegistus and Renaissance magic. Alchemy and Sir Isaac Newton. High and low magic. The Hall of Magicians. PART TWO: THE ENDLESS STORY Working with the cards In keeping with the graphic style of the deck, users are encouraged to think less that the cards have a set of fixed meanings to be learned by rote, and more that they provide a dynamic tool with which to tell stories. By treating each card as the frame of a graphic novel, readers can learn to let the cards 'speak'. They can find their own stories in the cards and so 're-story' their lives. Exercises and suggested spreads are provided to guide readers through this unique approach one that aims to let people take their place in the endless story of the tarot. PART THREE: SIGNPOSTS ON THE WAY Pointers to the cards Rather than providing a list of fixed meanings, each card is presented with a commentary and a set of questions that readers can use to deepen their appreciation. The Wands, Swords, Cups and Coins of the Minor Arcana are color-coded red, tan, blue and green and are represented by Tudors, Cavaliers, Roundheads and people from Restoration England respectively. The court cards are divided into Page, Knight, Queen and King. The Major Arcana cards present a kind of parallel dreamworld of English magic. Broadly, the cards follow a similar structure to Pamela Colman Smith's classic 'Rider-Waite' deck, though with some surprising twists to the imagery. PART FOUR: THE MEMORY PALACE Building a deeper relationship with the cards The memory palace is technique for improving memory that derives from classical times. It was used extensively in English magic, and instructions are given here for building a memory palace to help unlock the deeper mysteries of the cards.

Hailed as divine messengers, angels offer help with healing, protection, abundance, and personal guidance. This angel-inspired deck will transport you to a higher dimension where celestial creatures rule with love, strength, and wisdom. Publisher Review: The Tarot of the Angels really surprised me. I love when a deck surprises me. I'm not sure what, exactly, I was expecting, but the title and the rather laid-back art did not prepare me for this thought-provoking guide and useful divination deck. Using the structure and inspiration of the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith deck, the Tarot of the Angels does something most clones don't accomplish--it adds something to the images that enhance the original meanings. This deck takes the RWS as a starting place and then takes us on a slightly different journey. We see angels, both good and evil, playing different roles. We see how we interact (sometimes unknowingly) with angels or how we channel them as...read more.

A full-color oracle deck and guidebook to activate your light codes, raise your frequency, and awaken to your cosmic mission * 2022 Coalition of Visionary Resources Silver Award * Includes 44 full-color cards, embedded with activational frequencies and imbued with sacred geometric symbols and patterns from nature and the cosmos * For each card, the book explains its meaning and message and includes a ritual activity, such as an incantation, guided journaling, meditation, or ceremony, to help you engage more deeply and experientially with the message * The book demonstrates how the cards represent 4 distinct initiatory paths, which can act as a cosmic mission activation launch sequence, helping you in the next steps of your soul purpose Presenting high-vibration activational messages, this oracle deck and book set is designed to help you remember your true nature as a being of light, access your cosmic mission, and raise your vibratory frequency. Rev. Stephanie Red Feather hand-painted the art on each of the 44 full-color cards, imbued with sacred geometric symbols and patterns from nature and the cosmos, to serve as a tool of transmission, engaging you on multiple levels of consciousness and allowing you to receive whatever activation, message, or inspiration from Source you need in the moment. The art is also intentionally embedded with activational frequencies to help you "turn on" your light codes, retrieve ancient wisdom stored in your soul's memory from enlightened times, and transmit signals from Source, which land like seeds in the mind and flower into higher knowledge. In the accompanying guidebook, Red Feather explains how the oracle can be used as a self-guided initiation into the mysteries of higher consciousness. Drawing on astrophysics, biology, geology, quantum mechanics, as well as ancient mystical traditions, she shows how the cards can be divided into four groups, each representing a distinct initiatory path and acting as a cosmic mission activation launch sequence. For each card, she explains its meaning and message and includes a ritual activity, such as an incantation, guided journaling, meditation, or ceremony, to help you engage more deeply and experientially with the message. Offering a hands-on tool to discover and activate the next steps of your cosmic mission, this oracle helps you prepare your light body for the next octave of your soul purpose on Earth as well as drawing you into higher, wider, and deeper dimensions of consciousness.
The tarot is used for divination and as a source of symbolic wisdom, and the author combines the two traditions in this book. Drawing from his own "Gareth Knight Tarot" and the "Grimaud Deck of Marseilles", he offers a history and interpretation of each card and provides specific exercises to help readers become familiar with them. The exercises include the Celtic Cross layout as well as the author's own spiral 21-card spread, alongside magical divination techniques, and answers to student's questions from his highly acclaimed tarot courses. |
