help prepare beginning players for all styles of snare drum and
percussion performance. This best-selling book contains 80 pages of
excellent sequential instruction covering rudimental studies, roll
studies, contest solos, and bass drum and cymbal technique, as well
as 23 solos suitable for recitals and contests. This title is

An outstanding compilation of piano etudes and exercises from the
ever-popular BA1/4rgmuller's 25 Progressive Pieces, Opus 100,
Czerny's Practical Method for Beginners on the Piano, Opus 599, and
Hanon's The Virtuoso Pianist. Etudes are organized into four units
according to difficulty and emphasize different aspects of
technique and musicianship. Hanon exercises are included within
each unit to reinforce the need for finger strength, independence
and agility. Information about each composer's life, music and
books is also provided.
The music in Lesson Book 3 is completely written on the staff.
After a review, the new concepts taught are: Staccato, legato,
slurs; Melodic and harmonic 2nds and 3rds; Melodic and harmonic
4ths and 5ths; f-p.; Bass clef C D E are taught for the LH.
Students then know all notes necessary to play in the C position.
Playing both hands together is taught near the end of the book.

Christmas season for students using Alfred's Basic Adult Piano

Lesson Book 4 is the last in the Music for Little Mozarts series.
After a review, the new concepts taught are: Flat and sharp sign;
Tie; Crescendo and diminuendo. After reviewing C position and
Middle C position, G position is taught. All three positions are
used alternately throughout the rest of the book, with flat and
sharp notes incorporated. When the student is finished with Lesson
Book 4, he/she moves either into Alfred's Basic Piano Library, Prep
Course, Level C or Alfred's Premier Piano Course, Level 1B.
