This book offers a thorough exploration of the three-dimensional integration of resistive memory in all aspects, from the materials, devices, array-level issues, and integration structures to its applications. Resistive random-access memory (RRAM) is one of the most promising candidates for next-generation nonvolatile memory applications owing to its superior characteristics including simple structure, high switching speed, low power consumption, and compatibility with standard complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) process. To achieve large-scale, high-density integration of RRAM, the 3D cross array is undoubtedly the ideal choice. This book introduces the 3D integration technology of RRAM, and breaks it down into five parts: 1: Associative Problems in Crossbar array and 3D architectures; 2: Selector Devices and Self-Selective Cells; 3: Integration of 3D RRAM; 4: Reliability Issues in 3D RRAM; 5: Applications of 3D RRAM beyond Storage. The book aspires to provide a relevant reference for students, researchers, engineers, and professionals working with resistive random-access memory or those interested in 3D integration technology in general.

Gone are the days when data was interlinked with related data by humans and to find insights coherently, human interpretation was required. Data is no more just data. It is now considered a Thing or Entity or Concept- to bring the meaning to it, so that a machine not only understands the concept but also extrapolates the way humans do. Data Science with Semantic Technologies: Deployment and Exploration volume of a two-volume handbook set provides a roadmap for the deployment of semantic technologies in the field of data science and enables the user to create intelligence through these technologies by exploring the opportunities and eradicating the challenges in the current and future time frame. In addition, this book offers the answer to various questions like What makes a technology semantic as opposed to other approaches to data science? What is knowledge data science? How does knowledge data science relate to other fields? This book explores the optimal use of these technologies to provide the highest benefit to the user under one comprehensive source and title. As there is no dedicated book available in the market on this topic at this time, this proposed new book becomes a unique and only resource for scholars, researchers, data scientists, professionals, and practitioners. This volume can serve as an important guide towards applications of data science with semantic technologies for the upcoming generation and thus becomes a unique resource for scholars, researchers, professionals, and practitioners in this field.

This book discusses theoretical and experimental advances in metamaterial structures, which are of fundamental importance to many applications in microwave and optical-wave physics and materials science. Metamaterial structures exhibit time-reversal and space-inversion symmetry breaking due to the effects of magnetism and chirality. The book addresses the characteristic properties of various symmetry breaking processes by studying field-matter interaction with use of conventional electromagnetic waves and novel types of engineered fields: twisted-photon fields, toroidal fields, and magnetoelectric fields. In a system with a combined effect of simultaneous breaking of space and time inversion symmetries, one observes the magnetochiral effect. Another similar phenomenon featuring space-time inversion symmetries is related to use of magnetoelectric materials. Cross-coupling of the electric and magnetic components in these material structures, leading to the appearance of new magnetic modes with an electric excitation channel - electromagnons and skyrmions - has resulted in a wealth of strong optical effects such as directional dichroism, magnetochiral dichroism, and rotatory power of the fields. This book contains multifaceted contributions from international leading experts and covers the essential aspects of symmetry-breaking effects, including theory, modeling and design, proven and potential applications in practical devices, fabrication, characterization and measurement. It is ideally suited as an introduction and basic reference work for researchers and graduate students entering this field.
