Pulled by a thread through a fog, Mowzl arrives in the human world
from a future time. In his home world Mowzl is a real mouse; here
in the human world he is a toy - but alive, with a heart and
feelings. He is found by Pip and LuLu, who are grown-ups, and LuLu
makes him a woolen pouch in which he can fly. He talks with wild
creatures and is upset to learn that the world is being badly
damaged by what humans are doing. In his home world there are no
humans to be seen and the world, or "wild web", is healthy. Mowzl
needs Pip to write his story to help him remember where he came
from and how to get back, and Pip writes everything that happens.
When Mowzl meets two children called Billy and Larky, they find
that they can understand the wild talk too, but only when they are
with the mouse, because of his magic. They are excited to learn
from creatures about the wild web, and they want to do something to
help. Billy and Larky soon get their friends involved, and they all
listen to the stories that Mowzl tells. Gradually, the mystery of
what happened to Mowzl before the fog is revealed. The Adventures
of Horatio Mowlz is an illustrated children's story that reflects
on the impacts human activity is having on the environment, whilst
taking readers on an adventure they will not forget.

biting question that needs to be answered: what are mosquitos
supposed to eat? Across the swamps of Louisiana he goes, determined
to find a breakfast fit for a pest. Unfortunately for Boudreaux,
not a single animal is able to help: The alligator tells him to ask
the wolf, who tells him to ask the bear, who tells him to ask the
wild hog. Before he knows it, Boudreaux has exhausted his wings
buzzing from one ear to the next, and he's still no closer to
finding his first meal! He finally receives a very intriguing
answer . . . but what will become of Boudreaux when he tests this

These are the stories of four animals and their friends. There are
two cats - Cher Khan and Tabby. Cher Khan is a young ginger cat and
is rather vain. He loves attention and is forever looking at
himself in any mirror he can find. Tabby loves to eat, and anything
will do. A cat who likes his independence, he is quite a Jack the
Lad, but has a very kind heart. KoKo is a West Highland Terrier who
is very good at sorting out problems. Blackbird is, well, a
blackbird, excellent at singing. They all live in the village of
Little Chirp and get along together well. Mostly! Nearby is the
town of Chirp, which has a circus, shops, village green, a
playground and a library. In Little Chirp live Jamie and Leah, who
reside at Little Chirp Farm. Jamie is a farmer, and the couple make
a good living from the wonderful food Leah produces from the farm.
Jamie is also a great handyman. Dr Blister runs the village
veterinary surgery. He is a good-hearted chap who will help any
animal in trouble. Later on, we will meet the tigers, whose growl
is far worse than their bite. The animals all speak Animal
Language, which is not a difficult language to learn. Most humans
are too lazy to learn it, and although young children can speak it,
many grow out of it. However, animals understand EVERYTHING that we
say.
At Zoe's Rescue Zoo only the cutest, cuddliest animals need apply!
Zoe loves living at her uncle's rescue zoo because there's always something exciting going on. And Zoe also has an amazing secret... She can actually TALK to the animals!
Ruby the red panda is full of energy but sometimes she can be a bit naughty. With the zoo competing for a special winter award, can Ruby impress the judge ... or will her enthusiasm place her in danger?
Another fantastic title in the perfect series for young animal lovers, beautifully illustrated throughout by Sophy Williams.
Join Baby Bear as he makes friends with an owl and has a picnic on
the moon in this board book edition of Whatever Next!, a beautiful
story of innocence and imagination, full of the characteristic
warmth and humour of Jill Murphy, author of Peace at Last and The
Worst Witch. The moon and back before bath time? Whatever next!
Baby Bear wants to go on one more adventure before bed - a quick
trip to the moon. Mrs Bear isn't pleased, and anyway, she says,
Baby Bear doesn't have a rocket. Luckily, there's one under the
stairs . . .
A book of short stories that follow the exploits of a library
bookworm. When everyone has gone home and all the lights have been

roadside, her dreams begin to come true. She quickly forms a
