These are the stories of four animals and their friends. There are
two cats - Cher Khan and Tabby. Cher Khan is a young ginger cat and
is rather vain. He loves attention and is forever looking at
himself in any mirror he can find. Tabby loves to eat, and anything
will do. A cat who likes his independence, he is quite a Jack the
Lad, but has a very kind heart. KoKo is a West Highland Terrier who
is very good at sorting out problems. Blackbird is, well, a
blackbird, excellent at singing. They all live in the village of
Little Chirp and get along together well. Mostly! Nearby is the
town of Chirp, which has a circus, shops, village green, a
playground and a library. In Little Chirp live Jamie and Leah, who
reside at Little Chirp Farm. Jamie is a farmer, and the couple make
a good living from the wonderful food Leah produces from the farm.
Jamie is also a great handyman. Dr Blister runs the village
veterinary surgery. He is a good-hearted chap who will help any
animal in trouble. Later on, we will meet the tigers, whose growl
is far worse than their bite. The animals all speak Animal
Language, which is not a difficult language to learn. Most humans
are too lazy to learn it, and although young children can speak it,
many grow out of it. However, animals understand EVERYTHING that we
say.
The perfect rhyming children’s book for little unicorn lovers!
We’re off to find a unicorn, They’re really hard to spot. Some
people say they’re make-believe, But WE believe they’re not!
Join two little unicorn lovers on a magical adventure to find their
favourite mythical creature! There are so many places to explore
– the wishing well must be a likely place . . . or surely the
enchanted forest, if not? Is that a pair of fluffy UNICORN ears
behind that rock? Ah – it’s grandad’s socks. On closer
inspection, there don’t seem to be ANY unicorns around! But if
you keep looking and don’t give up, you never know what you might
find – there might just be some unicorns just around the corner
after all! Binoculars at the ready for a fun-filled rhyming romp .
. . full of magic and unicorn rainbow sparkle! We’re Going on a
Bear Hunt meets Ten Little Unicorns with the ‘not-all-it-seems’
silliness of Shark in the Park!
Lola the sheep has the most extraordinary wool. It's soft and silky
and is her pride and joy! But down on the farm, when the sun comes
out, the wool comes off! Poor Lola is so upset by her haircut that
she runs away to the far side of the farm where she sits all alone,
waiting for it to grow back. And when it does, it's no longer
silky, it's completely wild! But with it comes a wonderful surprise
. . . Thanks to a tiny chick, this self-obsessed sheep learns an
important life lesson; that great friendships are more important
than simply having great hair. The Sheep Who Hatched an Egg is a
funny, thoughtful, springtime story from award-winning, Gemma
Merino, author of the bestselling The Crocodile Who Didn't Like
Water and The Cow who Climbed a Tree.
A hilarious exploration of grumpiness: this is a book for any child
who has ever woken up to find everything unreasonably annoying.
Today is a terrible day for Wolfie: it's cloudy (there is a single
cloud), the water in the bubble bath is ice cold, there aren't
enough chocolate chips in the cookies and everyone else is having a
nice day (lucky them). No one understands Wolfie at school. But
then Penguin comes along... and she does understand. Suddenly
things start to get a whole lot better. This is a story
about how when you're feeling misunderstood, sometimes all it takes
to change your perspective completely, is a like-minded friend. A
wonderful, and relatable story about the loneliness that comes with
feeling grumpy and how a friend can give a rain cloud day, a sunny
new spin. Funny for both children and adults alike - while
children will delight at the funny dissonance between text and
image, the parents will recognise the all too relatable tale of
out-of-proportion toddler grumpiness.Â

Roy enjoyed telling his grandchildren these stories and decided to
publish them for other children who enjoy a good tale, well told.
A book of short stories that follow the exploits of a library
bookworm. When everyone has gone home and all the lights have been
turned down low for the evening, Larry goes from book to book,
sliding in and out of pictures and photographs that come to life
when he is in them.
Rosie is really worried when she and her dad discover a box of abandoned kittens in the park. They take the litter to a cat fosterer named Sam, who promises to help find them new homes – and Rosie can visit as much as she likes!
When Rosie notices that the youngest kitten, Bill, has trouble with his walking, Sam confirms that he has something called wobbly kitten syndrome, which makes families reluctant to take him in. Rosie knows this isn’t fair – Bill is just as cute as his brothers and sisters! Can she and Sam find anyone to adopt him?
A new story from best-selling author Holly Webb, perfect for animal-loving children, and fans of ZOE'S RESCUE ZOO and MAGIC ANIMAL FRIENDS.
When The Storks Came Home is a charming, fictionalised retelling of
the successful reintroduction of the white stork at the Knepp
Estate, a UK native bird which has been brought back from
extinction. In this second picture book from bestselling author and
globally significant conservationist Isabella Tree, we meet
eight-year-old Beanie, who loves birds. When she discovers that
huge white storks used to live in her own village but were hunted
to extinction in the UK 600 years ago, she is determined to find a
way to bring them back. But reintroducing a vanished species is not
so simple! Storks can fly hundreds of miles, so releasing storks
into the local countryside won't be enough to make them return and
stay for good. With the help of other villagers, Beanie hatches a
plan... Beautiful illustrations help bring this powerful and
important story to life, teaching children about conservation and
their environment in an accessible way. Ivy Kids brings you
beautiful, sustainably printed books to rewild your child, nurture
creativity, and foster a deep connection with the living world.
Winner of the Sustainability Award at the Independent Publishers
Awards 2022, Ivy Kids books are planet-friendly, printed on 100%
