This One Year book is a diary-style devotional for tween girls (9 to 14) that emphasizes their growing, special relationship with God. Each devotion begins with a statement, thought, or question to God. Every girl is likely to make these statements and ask such questions . . . many of which they may not want to share with other people. The book emphasizes that tween girls can have a relationship with God and that they can share their intimate thoughts, fears, insecurities, joys, etc. It lets girls know: it's between you and God. Questions/topics include the following: "I know I'm supposed to be close to you (God), but I don't really feel like it now. How can I change that?" "Everyone talks about how I'm supposed to have faith, which is fine, except I don't really understand what faith actually is." Each devotion gives biblically based insight into the subject.
Stories to Encourage Positive Behavior in Small Children The preschool and kindergarten years are some of the most important formative years of a person's life. Habits and attitudes developed during these crucial years affect a child for the rest of his or her life. These years are also a challenging time for parents as their children test boundaries (and patience). How parents and children respond makes all the difference in the world. The Growing God's Kids series is designed to help young children understand their feelings, develop godly ways to deal with temptations, and form positive attitudes and behaviors that will serve them well in the future. In Keeping Your Cool, parents and children are encouraged to recognize the feeling of anger and find constructive ways to deal with it.
Learn all about saying "Thanks" as the Flanimals thank their way through taco day in this adventure starring Turkey and the letter T. The Flanimals--a zany, flannel-clad group of animal friends--model positive behaviors in stories that will have little ones giggling and joining in to "read" along. Each book focuses on a single letter of the alphabet and uses repetition and humor to explore concepts such as love, gratitude, and patience. In T Is for Thanks (and Turkey!), an interjecting turkey and his friends exhibit helpful behavior and gratitude in the midst of some rather unusual situations. The humorous series of events is conveyed through simple text that builds upon itself with each new T word: "T is for Thanks and Tacos and Trampoline." Children will enjoy predicting the repeating elements and recognizing the letter T as they learn about thankfulness with the adorably hip Flanimals.
Like adults, children often struggle with insecurities and doubts.
Maybe they wish they looked like someone else, or were better at soccer
or painting, or simply wonder if they measure up to their peers.
Uniquely You reminds children of an incredible truth––God made them the
way they are for a reason, and they are amazing! They are beautiful and
talented in their own unique ways, and they are exactly who God wants
them to be. Renowned Bible teacher Joyce Meyer invites children to
joyfully embrace their unique identities and to celebrate the unique
identities of others.

Do you sometimes feel unhappy or jealous and don't know what to do? A long time ago, Anthony (c. 251-360 A.D.) felt like this, but decided to do something about his sad heart. He gave up everything he owned and set out with nothing to find answers. His journey took him into the desert of Egypt, where he came face to face with many temptations. But through being quiet and alone in the wilderness, Anthony discovered the power of God's love in his heart. For many years Anthony taught other people how to live with love, joy, courage, and peace. People can still learn from him today, if only they pay attention to his good life and teachings. The answers are also there for you. Will you take the journey with us? Saint Anthony the Great tells the story of the father of Christian monasticism, who lived in the Egyptian desert just two hundred and fifty years after Jesus' lifetime. This beautifully illustrated book will capture the attention of young readers and help teach them about Anthony's struggle to acquire a pure heart. Here is a timeless story about the victory of good over evil, inside us and around us.
