The body-mind connection is a well-documented fact in today's
medical paradigm. Yet, long before recent scientific research
uncovered this natural linkage, it was described in Kabbalistic
healing manuals, with one important difference--there it was
understood to be a link between the body, mind, and soul of
kabbalah and healing.
This healing manual explains Kabbalah's centuries-old perception
of human physiology, its view on how to maintain overall health,
and how this is dependent on our spiritual well-being.
"The phenomenon of disease is one of spiritual] separation or
estrangement," the rabbi writes pertaining to kabbalah and healing.
When disconnected from our innermost self, and our spiritual
Source, illness manifests. Were we to understand the true source of
our ailments, and give full expression to our yearning to connect
with our life Source, we would have no need for external
remedies.
Whether you rely on today's holistic healing or on more
traditional medicine, you'll benefit from the Kabbalistic
prescriptions for healing and understanding of human physiology
laid out in this valuable book.
Body, Mind, Soul: Kabbalah and Healing includes:
- A reference guide to the body-soul interaction
- A detailed description of Kabbalah's understanding of disease
and its root causes
- Contemporary healing methods seen from a mystical point of
view
- A discussion of the healing power of prayer and teshuvah (return
to G-d)
Kabbalistic healing is a complete system of belief and
practice. Of interest to anyone seeking true holism.

Miracles of Our Own Making is a historical overview of magic in the
British Isles, from the ancient peoples of Britain to the rich and
cosmopolitan landscape of contemporary paganism. We explore the
beliefs of the Druids, the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, the alchemy of
the Elizabethan court and the witch trials. We encounter grimoires,
ceremonial magic and the Romantic revival of arcane deities. The
influential and well-known – the Golden Dawn, Wicca and figures
such as Aleister Crowley – are considered alongside the everyday
‘cunning folk’ who formed the magical fabric of previous
centuries. Ranging widely across literature, art, science and
beyond, Liz Williams debunks many of the prevailing myths
surrounding magical practice, past and present, while offering a
rigorously researched and highly accessible account of what it
means to be a pagan today.
This illustrated, 256-page book and deck of 65 cards represent an

The Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor, active in the last decades of
the 19th century, was the only order of its time that taught
practical occultism in the Western Mystery Tradition. This is the
first complete and undistorted account, tracing the origins,
founders, and practices of this very secretive order, which counted
among its members many of the well-known figures of late
19th-century occultism, spiritualism, and Theosophy, including Max
Theon, Peter Davidson, Thomas Henry Burgoyne and Paschal Beverly
Randolph. This scholarly work provides all the materials for
revisioning the history, assigning the Hermetic Brotherhood of
Luxor its rightful place as one of the most influential esoteric
orders of its time.
The modern mystic-the contemporary spiritual seeker-is always
looking for ways to enhance and expand his or her consciousness.
Using quotes from spiritual masters as well as personal stories and
anecdotes, "A Manual for the Modern Mystic" shares practical,
easily attainable tools that promote spiritual growth through
consciousness development.
Rio Olesky, a professional astrologer and spiritual
practitioner, offers a thoughtful guide through the mystical
thought of several major spiritual traditions while exploring the
ultimate goal of the mystical pursuit-the meaning of life. As he
defines and discusses twelve universal laws-each reflective of a
sign of the zodiac-he helps lead you to discovering a deep personal
connection to the Divine while avoiding self-undermining behaviors
that limit spiritual growth. Through Olesky's explanation of
universal laws, mystics will learn more about their connection to
the physical plane, fascinating social behaviors, and the
complexities of family dynamics.
Development of consciousness is perhaps the ultimate purpose and
prime reason that life exists." A Manual for the Modern Mystic"
helps contemporary spiritual seekers tune in to a rich, intuitive
awareness of the world around them that ultimately leads to peace
of mind and happiness.
The History of the Devil (1900) is a philosophical study by Paul
Carus. A lifelong Monist, Carus sought to apply a scientific
analysis to the principles of humanity's religions. Credited with
bridging the gap between Eastern and Western beliefs, Carus
believed that the dualism rampant in the West could be replaced in
order to establish a more equitable world where difference and
diversity would be accepted and nurtured, rather than suppressed.
"This world of ours is a world of opposites. There is light and
shade, there is heat and cold, there is good and evil, there is God
and the Devil. The dualistic conception of nature has been a
necessary phase in the evolution in human thought." Recognizing the
need for dualism in the history of humanity, Carus sought to
promote the principles of Monism in the West, believing it could
lead to a universal worldview capable of uniting East and West. A
positivist and pantheist, Carus believed that by pursuing "in
religion the same path that science travels, [...] the narrowness
of sectarianism [would] develop into a broad cosmical religion
which shall be as wide and truly catholic as is science itself." To
lay the groundwork for this "cosmical religion," he investigates
the figure of the Devil and the historical evolution of the concept
of evil, which he saw as predating belief in goodness and God. With
a beautifully designed cover and professionally typeset manuscript,
this edition of Paul Carus' The History of the Devil is a classic
of philosophy reimagined for modern readers.
