This story, was based on an idea by the author's disabled daughter,
who would be thrilled to see her name on the credits for this work.
Elizabeth who is a Down Syndrome young lady, who acts as chief
critic for her mother's stories. Artwork, is by a local freelance
young lady by the name of Miss Joanna Husbands. Her artwork, has
also appeared in a book entitled, 'Snowy's Story' by Chrisi E Da
Pavlova.
Farmer Rhys Jones, hands the black and white kitten to Grandma
Lydia who decides to call the kitten, Tom Cat. Everything is fine
for 13 years. Then one day, Grandma lets Tom Cat out and trips over
the carpet. She phones for help and is taken to Parkwyn old folks
home, but frets over Tom Cat who is upset when there is no answer
at the back door. He then decides to catch some mice from under the
shed but is warned off. Upset he begins to cry and the mice feel
sorry for him. They get Sam Sparrow to help and Tom Cat manages to
go to Farmer Jones dustbin to get scraps. Grandma has an idea to
let her grand-daughter and her children take over her cottage as
they need a new home. They also bring along their Ginger kitten,
George with them. Tom Cat then introduces George to mice and other
creatures and stresses they aren't dinner.
