This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-workshop proceedings at PAKDD Workshops 2017, held in conjunction with PAKDD, the 21st Pacific-Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining in May 2017 in Jeju, South Korea. The 17 revised papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 38 submissions. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Health Information Science, HIS 2017, held in Moscow, Russia, in October 2017. The 11 full papers and 7 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 44 submissions. The papers feature multidisciplinary research results in health information science and systems that support health information management and health service delivery. The 13 papers presented in MCV workshop and the 6 papers presented in BAMBI workshop were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions. The goal of the MCV workshop is to explore the use of "big data" algorithms for harvesting, organizing and learning from large-scale medical imaging data sets and for general-purpose automatic understanding of medical images. The BAMBI workshop aims to highlight the potential of using Bayesian or random field graphical models for advancing research in biomedical image analysis.
