New Zealand or to the native Maori Aotearoa - The Land of the Long
White Cloud - is a country of natural wonders of amazing diversity.
Misty mountains soar above the silent stillness of the fiords,
lonely beaches of golden sands seperate the restless ocean from
deep and mysterious primeval rainforests, while towering volcanoes
brood above green and pastoral farmland. Arguably the best way to
see this fascinating country is from the freedom of a campervan.
Its a journey that must appeal to any lover of nature at its
unspoilt best.

You don't need a lot of money or a luxurious motor coach to camp in awesome surroundings while exploring America. Arlene and Charles Corby did it in a pop-up camper. Four days into retirement, they left with a full tank of gas and big dreams. Their schedule was to be in Savannah for St. Paddy's Day; New Orleans for the French Quarter Festival and San Antonio for Fiesta. Their trip lasted two years and covered 50,000 miles. From the heat of the Louisiana bayous to the cool breezes of the Pacific Ocean, adventure was at every turn. They found that traveling in a pop-up camper was economical, low maintenance, and a lot of fun. Share their journey and learn how to. *Adjust to life on the road *Make your camper a home *Live 24/7 with your mate and enjoy it "This is a humorous, down-to-earth, book filled with useful information about camping life along the highways and by-ways of America. Even if you don't camp, you'll enjoy it." Frank Planes, Avid Camper and Photographer "Your enthusiasm comes through, both for travel and for life in general. Some descriptions have a lyrical brilliance that makes for enjoyable reading." Deanna Bennett, Leader, East Lake Writers Workshop
1871. An appeal to the people and their representatives. With this pamphlet the Society is calling attention of the people, and of their representatives, to the unfinished and neglected condition of the Monument and making an appeal on its behalf. All the facts and particulars touching the history of the structure, which an interested public would wish to know, will be found fully set forth in the succeeding pages of this booklet.
This book is about select hotels in Florida. The author has toured more than 50 hotels in Orlando, FL alone and a number of other hotels in select Florida cities. It takes a great deal of time to tour hotels, but Tosca enjoyed touring the hotels and has enjoyed writing a book about his remarkable tours. He would also regularly call the hotels to keep his information up to date. Frankly, that ate up a lot of minutes on 2 cell phones. This book goes into great details about the hotels, which would be very beneficial to travelers and travel professionals.
No evidence is available to establish the actual date when the Tabard was built; Stow speaks of it as among the "most ancient" of the locality; but the nearest approach to definite dating assigns the inn to the early fourteenth century. One antiquary indeed fixes the earliest distinct record of the site of the inn in 1304, soon after which the Abbot of Hyde, whose abbey was in the neighbourhood of Winchester, here built himself a town mansion and probably at the same time a hostelry for travellers. Three years later the Abbot secured a license to erect a chapel close by the inn. It seems likely, then, that the Tabard had its origin as an adjunct of the town house of a Hampshire ecclesiastic.
1914. Critical notes on the Rijks Museum, the Hague Museum, Hals Museum. Van Dyke, with his belief that the enjoyment of beauty is one of the highest aims of human existence, attempts to deliver a guidebook that speaks about the man behind the paintbrush; deals with pictures from the painter's point of view, rather than that of the ecclesiastic, the archaeologist, or the literary romancer; has some proportion in the selection and criticism of pictures; with a critical basis for discrimination between the good and the bad; and that shall, for these reasons be of service to the traveling public as well as to the art student. "Life at the Top: Inside New York's Grand Hotels," a celebrity biography of some of New York's grandest and most romantic hotels, contains dozens of original stories about famous literary, theater and movie personalities. Author Ward Morehouse III, a columnist for AM New York, former columnist for the New York Sun and the New York Post and a staff correspondent for 10 years for the Christian Science Monitor, briefly chronicles the lives of many of the 20th Century's literary and artistic giants who lived at the Plaza, Waldorf-Astoria, Algonquin, St. Regis, Carlyle, Chelsea and many other hotels. Morehouse paints a unique portrait of their glamorous, exciting, touching and sometimes tragic lives in the golden era of New York hotels and theater, bringing the two worlds together in a work that reads like great fiction. A pair of endearingly eccentric bachelors - in their fifties, and fraternal twins - own and operate a bed & breakfast establishment where people like them, the "gentle and bookish and ever so slightly confused, " can feel at home. Hector and Virgil think of their B&B as a refuge, a retreat, a haven, where folks may bring their own books or peruse the brothers' own substantial library. Bachelor Brothers' Bed & Breakfast supplements each twin's distinctive and colorful description of life at their B&B with entertaining extracts from their guest book, lists of suggested reading materials (e.g., Books for When You Are Feeling Low), and astoundingly bad verse penned by a local poet. The lively cast includes Waffle the cat and the scripture-quoting parrot, Mrs. Rochester, as well as the ever-present warm memory of Mother.
