Jackson’s Alcohol Inks are fast-drying, alcohol-based inks. They are highly saturated and produce vibrant effects on a variety of porous and non-porous surfaces. Popular surfaces include Yupo paper, Jackson's gesso panels, as well as glass, metal, plastic, ceramic, stone, resin, clay, and more.

You can also use Jackson’s Alcohol Inks for calligraphy work, faux finishing techniques, graphic and airbrush applications, as well as wood and leather staining.

Jackson’s Alcohol Inks are smudge-resistant and water-resistant when dry. As they are dye-based, artwork should be protected from sources of light to protect against fading. Once the colour dries it can be reworked with Jackson’s Blending Solution. This helps produce unique effects that can't be achieved with water-based mediums.

To protect works made with alcohol inks, we recommend several coats of a UV protectant, such as Krylon Kamar Varnish. Allow at least 24 hours or more for best results.

When cleaning brushes used with Jackson’s Alcohol Inks, we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or a blending solution. Clean brushes before they have the chance to dry out.

Each opaque colour has a metal ball in the bottle which mixes up the colouring agent when shaken.

Holbein Acrylic Inks can be used directly for bold, brilliant colour with a brush, airbrush, dip pen, technical pen, or refillable marker. The range of 50 intense colours have excellent pigment strength and will not shift in colour tone from wet to dry. The inks will flow seamlessly through any airbrush and will not clog a 0.01mm aperture. They can also be used to achieve the subtle characteristics of watercolour painting by thinning with water. Essdee premium block printing ink is a high quality water-based ink made with specialist ingredients for smooth, vibrant prints. This non-permanent ink has enhanced tack and excellent transfer properties, with a perfectly balanced working and drying time making it easy to use and clean up. Designed for use with Essdee Linoleum, SoftCut, MasterCut, and Printfoam, but can also be used with many other printmaking materials and techniques. Essdee premium block printing ink prints well onto all grades of paper and card, and can be intermixed to create a full palette of colours, tints, tones, and shades.

All Essdee inks are water-based so rollers and ink trays can be easily cleaned using warm water. You may also wish to use a small amount of washing-up detergent.
