Many Christians have told me to quit being so nit-picking and let by-gone be be-gones, that what happened in the past was then, and now is now and things have changed. But, that is not true. Christians still read from their so-called NEW testament that is full of Jew-bashing, so subliminal that most Christians overlook it. It is not my desire to claim Christianity is wrong and that you should not believe in your god - but I want people to think. Perhaps what you have been led to believe is wrong? Think... Why is it wrong for a Christian to deny the divinity of Jesus yet why do Christians turn their blind eye to Christians Missionaries trying to convert Jews against the basic tenants of Judaism? Why is it that most all pictures of the different characters in Christianity have a sun-disk above their heads? The Church made its own "spin" on this calling them halos, but didn't the Church change Sabbath to Sunday, the day of the sun? Who actually wrote the Christian bible that Christians all over the world swear it? The Church admits they really don't know for sure and only guessed. Did Jesus write anything in the NEW testament, or was his thoughts written by men who thought they knew? Why did it take 2,000 years before the Pope acknowledged the Christian hatred towards Jews and the need for Christians to repent? Why all of a sudden were the Church wrong and the Jews right?
Worship needs to be a delight and not just a duty. This book brings out these aspects and you will be delighted not only to read the blessed contents but you also begin to enjoy your fellowship with God and other believers. (Pastor Ambrose Nyanga'u-senior Pastor, Parklands Baptist Church Nairobi)
The aim of "CriticalThinking and "r"eligious Folklore - Reader and Workbook" is to help students think critically about and analyze different kinds of writing. They can then arrive at their own understanding about the meaning of a reading selection. Students learn how to organize their thoughts and analysis so that they can write about their understanidng of each reading selection. "Critical Thinking and "r"eligious Folklore - Reader and Workbook" is a book of literature selections from "r"eligious folklore (See What is this book about? In COURSE INTRODUCTION which follows Table of Contents for a discussion of "r"eligious folklore.) The workbook is self-contained. All the readings are included in the workbook. Students complete most of the comprehension exercises and short written assignments in the workbook too. "Critical Thinking and "r"eligious Folklore - Read and Workbook" is designed for students in or above the middle school level. If you review the selections, you can easily see which can be used with lower level students, e.g., the stories St. George and the dragon in the chapter called Dragons, and which, with upper level students, the selections in the chapter entitled What the divine has touched. Students use folklore, such as short stories, poetry and ballads, lives of holy folk, etc., as the foundation for analyzing and thinking about the content, meaning, and themes of a selection. Graphics thinking organizers are the main vehicle that students use to help themselves: analyze the meaning of each selection they read; organize their thoughts in preparation for writing. The organizers cover such thinking or analytical areas as: comparison and contrast, classification, sorting, cause and effect, sequencing, etc. There is extensive guidance on how to fill out a graphic thinking organizer when each is first introduced. After applying an organizer to a particular text, students write their analysis, based on the reading selection and their completed thinking organizer. The section of the book entitled COURSE INTRODUCTION gives details about the relationship among reading, meaning and writing. The analysis using the graphics thinking organizers in "Critical Thinking and "r"eligious Folklore - Read and Workbook" as well as the preparation exercises for writing can be completed individually or in a group. A companion volume "'Snipp snapp snute, sa er eventyret ute' - Folklore Reader and Critical Thinking Workbook" has additional critical thinking materials and different reading selections. Students who use the volume should have more options for analyzing and writing about other texts and literary selections they meet. They will probably be able to transfer much of the critical thinking "techniques" used in "Critical Thinking and "r"eligious Folklore - Read and Workbook" to other curriculum areas in their school work.
In today's world, it can be difficult to maintain your faith. Those seeking a greater understanding of the Bible have numerous excellent theological commentaries available to them, but due to volume and depth, many of these are out of reach of laypeople. Others lose contact with the Bible, because it no longer seems relevant to life. They use a superficial knowledge of science and evolution to exclude God and faith from their experiences. "The Layman's Commentary: Volume 7 - Epistles of Paul" presents a passage bypassage explanation of the thirteen letters of Paul to the early churches. In this seventh volume, author John Devine considers the writings of the academic, theologian, specialist in the Old Testament Scriptures and apostle to the 'rest of the world' as they relate to effective everyday living. Paul's deep understanding of the work and teaching of Jesus are addressed explaining God's plan for a relationship with the individual and the means by which this was made possible by the death and resurrection of his Son. The expectation of eternal life and other important doctrines of the Christian worldview which have impacted people of all subsequent generations are highlighted and confirm that science and faith are complementary in giving purpose and meaning to life.

"The Layman's Commentary: Volume 6-Book of the Acts of the Apostles" presents a passage-by-passage explanation of the Book of the Bible known as Acts. In this sixth volume, author John Devine covers the activities of the disciples from the final days of the ministry of Jesus on earth to the birth of the Church. With the realization that salvation that comes by faith in Jesus Christ alone was not just for the Jewish people but for people of all nations, the message spread into Asia Minor and Europe, to Rome, centre of the then known world within the space of thirty years. From the sermons of Peter, Stephen and Paul the basic doctrine of the early Church is revealed as in the major creeds presenting the Christian Worldview. Evidence for the Historicity of Jesus is given.
This book contains the complete story of the Lord Jesus Christ: AKA "The Word of God." In this book certain proofs are presented that He was with God (the Father) when the heaven and earth were created, and that He is the eternal light of the heaven(s). He created all things and the worlds. Mankind (male and female) is his special creation, and angels are created spirits watching over the welfare of mankind. It was O Lucifer, the great dragon, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan who brought sin into the earth and caused the deaths of Adam and Eve. Angels left heaven to live on the earth during Noah's time. O Lucifer started war in heaven, and in defeat was confined to the earth. Christ Jesus was a close friend of the prophet Abraham, Moses, Elijah, and the prophets of the Old Testament. He is truly the Savior of mankind, the only begotten son of the true and living God. He is the great prophet, for He revealed to us the past, present and impending future. He came and left this earth on a prophetic time table. He is our Passover from death into everlasting life. He is the resurrection of the dead (both good and evil). He is the baptizer of the Holy Ghost (the Spirit of God), and He will judge the works of mankind to include spirit beings (angels).

If you're looking to start a Church and wanting to be free from the restrictive laws of 501c3, then this book is for you A Corporation Sole is one of the rarest; least talked about and most advantageous form of incorporating a ministries assets in the world. Understand that a Corporation Sole is NOT you're Church. It is an incorporated Office (or Title of the Office) of a church or religious organization. It is established solely to manage the Churches assets, finances, and day to day financial operations. It is a Corporation 'Sole' because the Office is filled by only one person - (who is typically the head of the church or spiritual organization). Currently, the Corporation Sole is the only known way that a Church can organize its finances whereas the Church itself will NOT be under the jurisdiction of 501c3 but rather the law of both 26 U.S.C 508(c)(1)(a) and 26 U.S.C 6033(3)(A)(1-3). Both of these laws not only mandatorily exempt the Church from taxation but also mandatorily exempt the Church from being required to file annual returns to the IRS. It cannot be understated how incredibly vital this book is to every Pastor in America. If you we're looking for a way to free your Church from the restrictive rules governing 501c3 Churches, then this book is for you. Also make sure to check out our website at http: //www.CorporationSole.org This book will answer tough questions such as: 1.How do I apply or get help with setting up either a Church or a Corporation Sole? *Includes detailed instructions for how to set up your own Church and Corporation Sole. 2.What are common mistakes Churches make when establishing themselves, mistakes that erroneously place them under the jurisdiction of 501c3? 3.Can a Church reorganize its current 501c3 Status in favor of a Corporate Sole? 4.If I get a Corporation Sole, will my Church be considered a 501c3? 5.If our Church decides to reorganize with a Corporate Sole, can our Church be actively involved in political propaganda, attempt to influence legislation or publish political statements on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office? 6.What is the difference or advantages of the Corporation Sole versus a traditional 501c3? 7.Can our Church have a Corporate Sole even if we do not live in one of the 8 States that has Corporate Sole Laws? 8.Do you need to have a physical Church building (i.e. 4 walls and a steeple) in order to have a Corporation Sole? 9.Is a Corporation Sole lawfully required to have a polity body or board of trustees like other 501c3's? 10.Will the Corporation Sole's incorporated name effect the way people can write tax-deductible checks to your Church and or Ministry? and MUCH MUCH MORE. Our ministry, The Empowerment Center has helped hundreds upon hundreds of Churches across America get unshackled from the 501c3 law and instead organize their finances through the incredible Corporation Sole. This book is meant to answer nearly every conceivable question the reader might have related to this topic. We hope you enjoy reading this and share it with ALL of your Pastor friends from ALL Christian denominations so we can take this country BACK from the darkness and into the light of Jesus Christ
This book is one of a series of Bible study helps designed to provide a systematic set of literature for any serious student. The basic (no computer language pun intended) concept of this system involves the word Exegesis. That word means the Elucidation of the Truth (to read out the Truth). It is defined as: Exegesis: is the Correct Application of sound Hermeneutical Principles to the Original text of Scripture in order to Declare its intended meaning. This definition opens the door of systematic Bible study to subjects that include but is not limited to: Hermeneutics; Biblical Introduction; Study of the original Languages of the Scripture which include Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic along with Tectual Criticism of such texts; Homiletics; Systematic Theology; and Christian Apologetics. This has been my writing/teaching aim for the past 40+ years.
In On the Afterlife: You Will Get There from Here, author G. V. Loewen presents a new, fascinating model of the concepts of the afterlife, from early human societies to our own. Based on four "types," this theory stands apart from any kind of personal evaluation or judgment, whether or not the reader believes in the afterlife - either in the form of a return to life in this world, or a continuation of life in some other realm - or not. A fifth "type" is designated by the concept of "nothingness," an integral element of understanding what happens when we die. Beginning with a discourse on how we remember and memorialize life in death, and ending with a chapter on ethics, On the Afterlife: You Will Get There from Here demonstrates how the obligation is on us as human beings to make our lives worth dying for. This intriguing book will change the way you think of the afterlife. About the Author: G. V. Loewen is professor of the sociology of religion at The University of Saskatchewan, in Saskatoon, Canada. The author of twelve scholarly books, he is currently writing about people's personal experiences of art. This is an independent work, utilizing the King James Translation of the Bible, and the interweaving of enhancement from the compiler of this work, along with punctuation adjustment, to bring clarity concerning doctrine and expressed intended thought in line with the whole of the Pauline Revelation. It is the prayer of the compiler of this work that the enhancement of interweaving Biblical revelation truth into each book will bring clarity for the reader concerning who one is in Christ.

Others lose contact with the Bible because it no longer seems relevant to life. They use a superficial knowledge of science and evolution to exclude God and faith from their experiences. "The Layman's Commentary: Volume 4-Books of the Major and Minor Prophets "presents a passage by passage explanation of the seventeen books of the Bible, known as the Prophets. In this fourth volume, author John Devine covers the period from the division of the United Kingdom of Israel to the end of the Monarchy and the Return of the Remnant from exile in Babylon. He explains God's continued self-revelation and plan for a relationship with humankind in his dealings with the nation of Israel. He considers the conflict and consequences of the desire of the individual to be independent from God. Further understanding of God's moral standard, which has been the backbone of Western society, is given. Devine also lays out the basis for a full and rewarding relationship with God. "The fourth book in The Layman's Commentary series, Volume 4-Books of the Major and Minor" Prophets shows that the prophetic messages are still valid today because God's character has not changed - nor has the frailty of human nature. People look for an anointed One who will come and put all things right. Predicted by most of the prophets he is seen as the 'Hope of Israel', a prophet, priest and king who will include all nations of the earth in his eternal kingdom.
One of Newman's best and most accessible books, "The Idea of a University" stands among the central texts of the Oxford Movement and remains a crucial reference point for the modern revival of Catholic education. Newman assembles a series of his key discourses and lectures exploring the purpose and mission of Catholic liberal education, the primacy of theology and its relation to other disciplines, classical studies, modern science, and intellectual rigor. The result is a profound and energetic exploration of the centrality of wisdom in academic culture and Christian life.
The abandonment of loyalty may be applied to many different
issues in life. Here are four abandonments of many: God's Word says in Hosea 6:4 and 6, "What shall I do with you, O Ephraim? What shall I do with you, O Judah? For your loyalty is like a morning cloud And like the dew which goes away early," and, "For I delight in loyalty rather than sacrifice, And in the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings" (NASB). God destroyed disobedient people in the Old Testament, some of whom were His chosen people. Jesus says in the New Testament, in Luke 6:46, "Why do you call Me, 'Lord, Lord, ' and do not do what I say?" (NASB). Hebrews 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever" (NASB). Jesus will destroy disobedient Christians in the end. Who are His chosen people? Do not kid yourself into thinking that because you are a Christian, you are secure, if you are disobeying Jesus' commands.

The Layman's Commentary: Volume 5-Books of the Gospels presents a passage-by-passage explanation of the four books of the Bible, known as the Gospels. In this fifth volume, author John Devine covers the biblical records of the life and teaching of Jesus Christ. In a coordinated approach to the four accounts he emphasises the significance of the claims that confirm Jesus as the Son of God and means of securing eternal life for those who recognise him as Savior and Lord. The evidence shows that Jesus is the most relevant person in history and why it is vital for each individual to make an informed decision about him. From personal experience Devine lays out the basis for a full and rewarding relationship with God. Study aids on prophecies, parables, miracles, healings and harmony of the Gospels are also provided.
I asked in Volume One of the series "This World's War on Fathers and Family," Is she crazy or demon possessed? With the mounting number of incidents where women have harmed or even killed their own male children, spouses or significant others, I think that we can now see that there is more going on than a little agitation. What is ultimately inside of any woman that would blatantly deny the scriptures has come to a place where it wants to be out in the open AND accepted by all. What is really going on? The truth here is that there is no such thing as a woman who is not submitted to "Something." The real question is "What" is she submitted to. The answer goes all the way back to the Garden of Eden. These are not "Women." They are something different completely. "Jezebel Rising" is a study of just what drives our sisters to this place and how it fits within the context of scripture.
