On June 1, 2007, the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (the "Commission") conducted a briefing in Washington, D.C. on the status and effect of Blaine Amendments, which are provisions in state constitutions that restrict the use of public funds to support private religious schools. The Commission heard testimony from Anthony R. Picarello, Jr., Vice President and General Counsel of the Becket Fund; K. Hollyn Hollman, General Counsel of the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty; Ellen Johnson, President of American Atheists; and Richard D. Komer, Senior Litigation Attorney at the Institute for Justice. These are biographies of the four panelists, prepared statements by the four panelists, a written statement submitted by the Anti-Defamation League, and the transcript of the proceeding.
A simple approach to understanding the uniqueness of Pentecostals who observe the 7th day Sabbath and Holy Days. Explanations and Biblical foundations are provided for some of the more complex issues.
The abandonment of loyalty may be applied to many different
issues in life. Here are four abandonments of many: God's Word says in Hosea 6:4 and 6, "What shall I do with you, O Ephraim? What shall I do with you, O Judah? For your loyalty is like a morning cloud And like the dew which goes away early," and, "For I delight in loyalty rather than sacrifice, And in the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings" (NASB). God destroyed disobedient people in the Old Testament, some of whom were His chosen people. Jesus says in the New Testament, in Luke 6:46, "Why do you call Me, 'Lord, Lord, ' and do not do what I say?" (NASB). Hebrews 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever" (NASB). Jesus will destroy disobedient Christians in the end. Who are His chosen people? Do not kid yourself into thinking that because you are a Christian, you are secure, if you are disobeying Jesus' commands.

Aun asi, Dios los ama y quiere que ministremos su amor a los necesitados. En el Manual de Capellania y Ministerio; tiene la orientacion necesaria para ministrar con certeza.
I asked in Volume One of the series "This World's War on Fathers and Family," Is she crazy or demon possessed? With the mounting number of incidents where women have harmed or even killed their own male children, spouses or significant others, I think that we can now see that there is more going on than a little agitation. What is ultimately inside of any woman that would blatantly deny the scriptures has come to a place where it wants to be out in the open AND accepted by all. What is really going on? The truth here is that there is no such thing as a woman who is not submitted to "Something." The real question is "What" is she submitted to. The answer goes all the way back to the Garden of Eden. These are not "Women." They are something different completely. "Jezebel Rising" is a study of just what drives our sisters to this place and how it fits within the context of scripture. 1. Hallowed in Secret, Manifested in Public To develop the Disposition of Messiah, Hallow it in Secret; because what you hallow in secret, you will manifest in public. 2. What it means to be 'Born Again' View salvation in a whole new light, as Shane unlocks Hebraic understanding, and what Jesus was trying to communicate to others, on what it truly means to be born again. 3. The Authority of a Rabbi Examine the basic concepts of rabbinical authority, our role in coming under the authority of Jesus; and how this authority affected the disciples and Jesus' life. 4. Healing in the Tassels Num 15:37 - Throughout the generations to come, you are to make tassels on the corners of your garments, with a blue cord on each tassel. 5. Who is Your Slave Driver? Jesus didn't die just to forgive us; Jesus died so we could be slave driver-free: here, now, today. Something is ruling my life other than God; and God steps down, without me deserving it, and He takes the slave driver away. 6. The Days of Caesar Luke 2:1 - "In the days of Caesar Augustus there went out a decree that: all the world should be taxed." What was going on in the world, when God chose to reveal Himself in Jesus? 7. Bowl or Birthright? The most hated man in the whole Bible, by far the most foolish man who ever lived. This guy was basically an honest, hard-working man, who traded everything he could be, for one meal - just beans. 8. Becoming Less Important Even in Hell, the rich man still thought he was better than the beggar: send Lazarus here to serve me in Hell; send him back to Earth to serve my family. God is not looking to make 'rich men', but a nation of 'wealthy stewards', who use their money as God would have them use it - for the glory of God and the kingdom of God.
Prior to reading and undertaking the study of this book I want to encourage you to understand we are the Terminal Generation according to the empirical evidence, the scientific evidence and the biblical evidence that will be presented in this book. Simply our generation; the Baby-Boomers, the Hippies, the Yuppies, the Generation X, and the Millennials will be alive when humanities greatest cataclysmic event sounds in our life time. As you read this book realize the world and your life as you know it today is about to change forever Jesus Christ is coming soon, suddenly, silently to Rapture His Church, the Anti-Christ will ascend to dominate world power and the Wrath of God will be unleashed upon sinful man during the Great Tribulation Period. This book is an instruction manual covering the things to come in our life time and also a survival manual of protection and preparation; be prepared and don't be left behind
This book is one of a series of Bible study helps designed to provide a systematic set of literature for any serious student. The basic (no computer language pun intended) concept of this system involves the word Exegesis. That word means the Elucidation of the Truth (to read out the Truth). It is defined as: Exegesis: is the Correct Application of sound Hermeneutical Principles to the Original text of Scripture in order to Declare its intended meaning. This definition opens the door of systematic Bible study to subjects that include but is not limited to: Hermeneutics; Biblical Introduction; Study of the original Languages of the Scripture which include Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic along with Tectual Criticism of such texts; Homiletics; Systematic Theology; and Christian Apologetics. This has been my writing/teaching aim for the past 40+ years.
Ruth: Gleaning the Fallen Sparks illuminates the biblical story about a Moabite widow of a Bethlehemite, who became a righteous convert inspired by her mother-in-law Naomi. Her name was Ruth and her story has the ability to teach us so much about the laws concerning relationships, levirate marriage, true kindness, redemption and gleaning from the fields both literally and spiritually. She married her older kinsman, Boaz, in order to preserve her deceased husband's legacy and became the mother of Oved, the grandfather of King David. But there is more to Ruth's story waiting to be discovered below the surface. In these fascinating and utterly enthralling pages, the story of Ruth is dissected in a way that it never has been before. Through intensive analysis and chassidic insight, Rebbetzin Chana Bracha Siegelbaum illuminates the book of Ruth and enlivens it in a manner that's accessible to all readers. Ruth, the mother of Royalty, is the perfect role-model and inspiration for women who aspire to walk in her path of righteousness and make a difference in the world. Through this thorough analysis, Rebbetzin Siegelbaum shows us Ruth, the woman and the righteous convert, in a totally new way that is truly inspirational. Praise for Ruth: Gleaning the Fallen Sparks: "Rebbetzin Siegelbaum's inspiring and thoroughly enjoyable book Ruth: Gleaning the Fallen Sparks, exemplifies a deep, comprehensible and refreshing insight on the Book of Ruth. It not only grants special attention to its women-oriented aspects, but gives the reader an exhilarating view of the subject from the angles of the Oral Torah and Kabbalah as well." - Rabbi Lazer Brody "The immense effort invested to explain and clarify Megillat Ruth is evident in this important book. The book is based on the teachings of our sages in the way of Chassidut. It is certainly extremely beneficial to learn and study this book in depth. It is a great merit to disseminate Torah and to understand the depths of the concealed matters of the Torah." - Rabbi Ben Tzion Rabinowitz of Biala
