1932. A book divided into two parts. Part 1 is entitled the relation of the mineral salts of the body to the signs of the zodiac, while Part 2 is an esoteric analysis and synthesis of the zodiacal signs and their physiochemical allocations. With the renewed interest in homeopathy, increased study of astrology and the entrance of the Aquarian Age, this book has gained more importance. It is an attempt to answer all the questions regarding the cell salts. Part 1 is a brief and concise outline of the 12 signs of the zodiac, their symbology and the salts to be used to overcome any disease. Part 2 enlarges on Part 1 by discussing the physiochemical analysis, symbolism and actual use of each mineral salt.

The title of this book, The Triple Witching Hour, is a Wall Street term for the end of the financial quarter. It has nothing to do with broomsticks and is unknown outside of the Street. In his third book of essays, Roell starts, appropriately enough, with an analysis of Occupy Wall Street, a short-lived protest movement which was brutally suppressed. This book will tell you why OWS failed and why astrology is essential for planning protest movements, or, for that matter, weddings and children, though you won't find them in this book. Roell then takes off the gloves. In an extraordinary bare-knuckle essay, Astrology Under Our Feet, Roell proves astrology does not fall from an empty sky, but is generated by the earth itself. We are soaked in astrology, from birth to death. Why the hostility from science? Roell finds the origins of modern science in the French Renaissance, which produced an Enlightenment that was a consensus dictat. It was based on a simplistic "science" vs: "superstition," which was formed at the very outset. In reality the Enlightenment was a clash between rich city vs: poor rural, bookish vs: hand-me-down. The Enlightenment amounts to city folk who do not know where milk comes from. Roell declares science to be a series of consensus-based fads. Over the long run, he says, as much quirky as correct. Proof? Roell says to read old science journals. Roell then sketches a new world with astrology, most particularly a new medicine, based on solid astrological analysis, rather than scientific guesswork. Roell declares astrology, like engineering but unlike science, to be based upon fundamental realities and is therefore permanent and unchanging. Along the way in this book, he adds lots of celebrity and political riff-raff for your amusement, a masterful tour de force of astrology at work. Enjoy

From the Introduction: You have economic hard times to thank for this book. I am by profession a bookseller. In 2007, a friend suggested a newsletter as a way of enhancing book sales. I think she had monthly specials, promo sheets and upcoming new titles in mind, but I was too dense for that. Instead I wrote on topics of my own fancy. The first two years, 2007-9, when the newsletter appeared monthly were, well, dreadful. The week that Venus went retrograde in March, 2009, with the stock market stabilizing after months of plunging, I shifted from a monthly single-page newsletter, to a weekly three-pager. I followed a three-page format for a couple of years. Most of the worth-while essays were compiled in my first book, Skeet Shooting for Astrologers. Two years later in March, 2011, with the economy ever more bleak and myself running out of ideas, I started writing celebrity delineations and in the process broke out of a rigid format. The delineation of Jon Stewart, of the Daily Show, was the first of these. Retrograde Venus has turned up in a surprising number of the charts I've written about, given its rarity, among them, the chart for the Republican Party, as well as the charts for Rep. Ron Paul, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Jon Stewart, and some others. No, my Venus is not retrograde. Essays are in order of publication, in part as I think organizing by topic makes for a boring block of reading. The book starts with the last of the 2-column essays from the original 3-page weekly. Meanwhile the economy is now in the fifth year of straight decline. I do wish the people in charge of the country would just send us all envelopes stuffed with cash. I can live on barter just as well as money, but when that happens there will be no authors, there will be no books, there will be no commerce. Money has its uses.

Astrology is probably the most complex and sophisticated method of describing life that has ever been discovered or developed by human beings. The whole pattern never repeats, and yet this infinite variability is achieved with the different forms of the twelve sides of life. These twelve sides of life are what the author terms the twelve-letter alphabet of astrology. In this context she discusses the similarities of the house-sign-planet combinations, the elements and qualities, the exaltations, and the dilemmas presented by the cardinal, fixed and mutable influences. Also explored are the asteroids, fixed stars, the Vertex, and decanates and dwads. An example delineation of Billie Jean King's chart is followed by a discussion of ethical astrology.
In this, the most complete book about Mars ever written, author Donna Van Toen discusses Mars as it relates to personality, energy, occupational motivation, luck, and love, as well as Mars in natal, transiting, and progressed positions. She explains how the planet symbolizes your inner motivation, the esoteric role of Mars, and how Mars relates to karma. The Mars Book features chapters on Mars in relocation (including delineation); Mars and your luck; interpretations for transiting and progressed Mars in the houses, signs, and aspects; Mars and your love life; intercepted Mars; interpreting the Mars Return chart; Mars and your inner motivation; example Mars analysis; and Sun-Mars quickie synastries for relationships.
From the signs to the planets to the aspects, Helen Adams Garrett discusses the timing and interpretation of health factors in the horoscope. She also addresses the diet as reflected in the horoscope. In this book you will learn: Quadruplicity of Physical Ailments: the health matters associated with each of the quadruplicities and their individual signs. Dignities and Debilities: the health matters associated with each of the planets and the planets in all twelve signs of the zodiac. Interpretation and Aspects: using the example of her husband's illness and death, the author illustrates how to interpret the progressed and transiting aspects to the natal chart. Appetite Versus Addiction: food cravings, sugar, salt, associated emotional conditions. Food and Alcohol, Carbonated and Fruit Beverages, and Food Additives and Enhancers: includes an extensive list of helpful herbs and spices and their suggested use for specific ailments.

Astrology for Career Success How to Analyze Career Choices and Timing Author Gayle Geffner has built a substantial astrological consulting practice specializing in career counseling. Her unique and innovative approach includes her "at least three charts method" which emphasizes the importance of finding repeated themes in the horoscope. She shares thorough case studies on four of her clients who granted permission for her to use their stories in demonstration of her methodology. Additionally, a number of public figure charts are shown to illustrate various astrological configurations. This book assumes a reader with at least an intermediate knowledge of basic astrology. Although a novice can certainly learn from this material-each case study begins with basic natal analysis-a variety of forecasting techniques and more advanced methods are also included, such as derivative houses, transits, solar and lunar returns, midpoints, solar arcs and also two examples of 90 dial work (as used in the Cosmobiology system). All case studies involve some personal issues of the clients, but are primarily pointed toward chart analysis and specifically, to the counseling experience as it relates to career choices and the timing of actions regarding career. The author demonstrates a subtle way of instilling confidence into clients with positive input, even during difficult times. This book will be helpful to readers who seek personal career satisfaction, or want to explore new career options. It is a valuable addition to the library of any practicing astrologer who is interested in counseling methods, especially as related to career choices and timing.

Charles Jayne explores the chart from an esoteric perspective in this volume that focuses on prenatal charts. It is based on his belief that each new level of more complex organization in the hierarchy of real Wholes reveals new and higher attributes of reality, and that the planets are the individual's transformers for the Cosmic Centers. In Preface to Prenatal Charts, the author explains how to derive and interpret the many Epoch charts, both Individual and Group. In all, there are forty-nine Epoch Charts that comprise the Mandala of the Soul. Charles Jayne uses the Epoch Charts to identify the stages in the Descent of the Soul to the body. Alternately solar and lunar in nature, these charts trace the development of the individual and each is linked to a key planet representative of the Epoch. A case study illustrates how to use a four-step process and the Laws of the Sun, Moon, Angles, and Sex, along with directions and progressions to find the accurate Epoch Charts.

In Archetypes of Astrology, author Ena Stanley blends the themes of planets, signs and houses with their ancient mythological origins in a way that provides a useful and interesting introduction to the basics of astrology for readers who have little or no prior experience with astrological techniques. At the same time, she offers an enriching and enjoyable reading experience for advanced students and professional astrologers, or for readers whose primary interest is mythology. In the opening chapter, involving the evolution of astrology into the modern day, the reader is drawn in with Stanley's explanation of the patriarchal matrix and the matriarchal matrix and how in modern astrology, both have been blended into a workable paradigm. From there she shares how she began to develop her sense of the twelve basic astrological archetypes through her studies of psychology and of astrology, in particular with Zipporah Dobyns, Ph.D. In the chapters that follow, each of twelve basic archetypes blend astrology with a wealth of imagery through stories of myths that are rich in metaphor, adding new dimensions to our understanding of the signs, houses and planets of basic astrology. The mythologies behind Sun, Moon and the seven planets are further augmented with the correlations of dwarf planet Ceres and asteroids Pallas, Juno and Vesta with the 6th and 7th archetypes. Additionally, as the author points out in her concluding chapter, the study of myths and archetypes takes us into a greater understanding of motivations and behavior-to the essence of counseling astrology.
George J. McCormack, (1887-1974) had a life-long interest in astrology and the weather. Inspired by the astrometeorological work of A.J. Pearce (1840-1923), McCormack meticulously tracked and recorded the weather, from before World War I, until his death more than half a century later. In 1947, after 23 years of research, he published his "key" to long-range weather forecasting, being this book. Confident of his ability, in the spring of 1947 McCormack predicted one of the most severe winters in decades, specifically forecasting the infamous snows of December 26, 1947. He was nationally famous overnight. The techniques he used are in this amazing book. With study, they will become yours. The weather bureau predicts the weather, day by day, by careful observation of current conditions. You can learn to predict based on underlying celestial factors, which can be known months, even years, in advance. In 1963, before the US Weather Bureau, and again in 1964, before the American Meteorological Society, McCormack presented his life's work. Both groups ignored him, to our great loss. Use this book, make a better choice.
Allan explains how to improve natal chart interpretation and predictive accuracy with this revised delineation of the lunar nodes.
The inconjunct, which is also called the quincunx, is commonly referred to as a minor aspect. However, Frances Sakoian and Louis Acker present information in support of their viewpoint that the incojunct is a "not so minor" aspect. Associated with Mercury and the sixth house, and Mars, Pluto, and the eighth house, the inconjunct acts as a lens or focusing device between the spiritual will and the desire principle. Difficult situations are often a direct product of undisciplined thinking, which is the essence of the inconjunct. Undisciplined thoughts lead to situations in which people see themselves as victims of conditions over which they have no control. Disciplined thoughts, however, lead to positive manifestation. In this book, the authors delineate the natal and transiting aspects of the inconjunct, with a chapter devoted to each planet. Also included is introductory material about the meanings of the natal and transiting inconjunct.
Every individual is born into a particular environment that from birth shapes his or her life. Relationships are a key factor in this evolution, beginning with the parents and siblings, and expanding to friendship, coworkers, and romance. Each of these, as well as the people and experiences attracted, can be seen in the horoscope. Some bring happiness and lasting ties, while others bring despair, suffering, and learning experiences. The Contact Cosmogram focuses on relationships through the technique of chart comparison, through which it is possible to determine whether permanent harmony and complementary factors exist between two people. The author also explores the indicators that can help or hinder two people as they confront life crises. Extensively illustrated with many examples, The Contact Cosmogram explores the lives of famous couples, problem marriages, and collaborators.
Over the centuries astrology has been a source of help to many people. Today, Jungian depth psychology has proven to be of great value in the therapy process. In this book, Alice O. Howell has successfully merged the wisdom of both disciplines, forming a warm and symbiotic relationship between them. Presented as a series of semi-autobiographical letters to an analyst friend, the author presents her ideas with a rare combination of humor and wisdom. It is an exciting, landmark work that brings into play the insights of Carl Jung alongside those of respected astrologers such as Marc Edmund Jones and Dane Rudhyar. Why and how astrology connects to the spiritual dimension is the underlying thrust of this book in which each chapter presents insightful, thought-provoking ideas and concepts that will help the reader better understand the chart from an esoteric perspective. Specific chapters focus on each of the planets, chart symbolism, karma, causality and synchronicity, ego and self, and the meaning of the chart. About this book, reviewers wrote: ...Jungian Symbolism in Astrology has an intimate and personal flavor that makes it an extraordinary pleasure to read. Richard Nolle, Dell Horoscope ...it can be enjoyed and understood by anyone with an interest in either Jung, astrology, or both. Kenneth Irving, American Astrology
I am a Chironic astrologer. You won't find that word in the dictionary, but there are quite a few of us, and our number is increasing day by day. We are astrologers who believe that discovering the truth is more important than personal theories, and also that we should always keep our minds open to the ideas of others. By the time you finish reading this book you will know even more about what a Chironic astrologer is. Perhaps you, too, may like to become one. Who knows, perhaps you already are one. - Zane Stein |
