This anatomy model kit allows chidlren to assemble, piece-by-piece, a model of the internal and external parts of the Great White Shark. Constructing the body in this way teaches the user about the internal structure of this cartilaginous predatory fish and how the organs work together, allowing an insight into this important species.
What better way to get young children excited about STEM than through beloved nursery rhymes? Children explore ways to keep Humpty Dumpty from breaking after a fall, design a system for Jack and Jill to bring water down the hill without carrying it, build a catapult to help the cow jump over the moon, and many more. Each nursery rhyme comes with three STEM activities and companion recording sheets. A joyful way to spark a love of science in little learners!
Approach KEVA from a whole new angle with this interactive STEM tool! Brain Builders combines 20 KEVA planks with a set of double-sided puzzle cards. Each stimulating card features a 2-D challenge on one side and its solution on the other. The goal is to recreate 2D patterns into 3D structures. The 2-D cards show the design from different angles highlighting the front, side and overhead view and increase in difficulty from beginner to expert.
iGumbo - Stemberry School's lovable robot dog - has gone missing... Can you help to solve the case? You will need to put your skills in science, technology, engineering and maths to the test, but don't worry, the great STEM Detectives are on hand to help! If you crack the case, you could even become part of the STEM Detectives yourself. Get over to the evidence board and start investigating!
Discover high-tech gadgets, design robots and machines, and solve all sorts of technological puzzles in this innovative activity book filled with inventions to brainstorm, puzzles to solve and objects to design. Includes downloadable templates and links to inspiring websites about technology today.
A professional introduction to data logging! The stationary sensor
station with a moving camera, new environmental sensor and other
sensors, enables the measurement of air temperature, humidity, air
pressure, air quality, volume and brightness. The models can be
programmed and controlled with the graphical programming software ROBO
Pro and the ROBOTICS TXT controller, and are ideal for teaching topics
such as (data logging, programming and the use of actuators and
sensors. The sensors’ data can be collected and plotted on a graph. In
addition, the model can connect to a WiFi network, so that the camera
can also be controlled from a distance. The TXT controller can also be
connected to a cloud server, where the sensors’ data is saved and can
be retrieved. So using a user interface, a so-called “dashboard”, the
various sensor data can be permanently monitored, and the movement of
the camera can be controlled. Further models and applications the pupil
can first design and then control are: Barometer (measures air
pressure), Damp monitor (measures humidity and air temperature),
environmental wellness sensor (measures the air quality, temperature,
humidity) with LED display, noise sensor (measures volume) and frost
monitor (tests temperature against the freezing point). When the
pre-set limit values are exceeded, the system alerts the user via an
LED display or with an alarm tone. There are many more possible
applications. The innovative teaching material from fischertechnik
supports you in practically conveying technical understanding and
giving them a real insight. The accompanying instructional booklet,
with teaching and lesson materials, offers background information,
projects , and programmer tips.
Improves fine motor skills and eye-hand co-ordination (strengthen the small muscles of the eyes, hands and fingers), visual motor skills (cross the midline while threading), one-to-one correspondence, sequencing and basic number concepts (incidental counting).

Electric motors and generators are in countless devices, appliances, and vehicles we use every day. They are an essential technology in our modern world. With this kit, you can conduct 25 experiments to learn how an electric motor converts electricity into motion, and how an electric generator does just the opposite, converting motion into electricity. The electric motor is made of transparent plastic to show how the inside components work. Set up the motor to run on battery power and learn how a motor works. Then reconfigure the device to work in reverse as a hand-crank electric generator. Experiment with magnets to learn about the force of magnetism, and how magnetic fields relate to electric current. Build simple circuits consisting of the motor or generator, wires, and a light bulb to learn about the flow of electricity. Learn about gears and drive-trains and how they work to effectively convert kinetic energy into electrical energy and back again. The full-color, 48-page manual guides your experiments with step-by-step instructions.
STEM Activity: Terrific Technology will inspire your Key Stage 1 and 2 children with a range of fun and educational activities and puzzles related to mechanisms, robotics, computers, gadgets, space exploration and more! Bite-size facts explain the technological theories and discoveries behind them, making it easy to home school and keep your children busy while you work from home. Match the ancient tool to its modern partner, complete the plastic polymer patterns, metals quiz, water the crops in the irrigation maze, help the plane land at the airport! These are just some of the write-in activities featured in STEM Activity: Terrific Technology. Also available: STEM Activity: Amazing Maths, STEM Activity: Extreme Engineering and STEM Activity: Sensational Science.

Numicon builds a deep understanding of maths through a multi-sensory approach, developing children's fluency, reasoning and problem-solving. This display frieze can be put up in the classroom. It shows 100 blocks of 100 squares, each made up of 100 dots, helping children recognize 1 000 000 as a cube number. The sections can be arranged end-to-end horizontally or as an array - such as in a square of 10 x 10 blocks - helping children to also recognize 1 000 000 as a square number. It provides a visual reference point for the scale of large numbers as well as supporting discussions about the application of square and cube numbers to area and volume.
