An absolutely stunning display of lavish gold foil and exquisite Renaissance art, this deck is pure magic and mystery The shimmering gold reflects the light, seducing the intuition and delighting the eye. This deck is a treasure, truly a must-have for all Tarot enthusiasts. Originally commissioned in 1450 by the Duke of Milan, and attributed to Bonifacio Bembo, this is a reproduction of the oldest extant Tarot deck. This product includes 78 full-color cards and 9 cards with instructions. No booklet included. Publisher Review: When I was in high school, I was fortunate enough to take a trip through Europe. I desperately wanted to see some of the famous sites. I ended up disappointed with many of them. The Leaning Tower of Pisa was just an old building falling on its side. The Eiffel Tower was an enormous rusty hunk of metal. The Mona Lisa was dark, dingy, and criss-crossed with hairline cracks. The ceiling of the Sistine Chapel was likewise dark and dismal with muted colors (it's been cleaned since I was there). The truth is that great works of art and architecture age and need to be cared for. Most art does not receive the appropriate care. Perhaps the oldest--and certainly the most complete--example we have of the Tarot is known by a variety of names. Attributed to Bonifacio Bembo, they were commissioned in 1450 for Filippo Maria Visconti, the Duke of Milan, Italy. Because they weren't finished until his successor, Francesco Sforza, was in office, this deck is often called the Visconti-Sforza Tarot or simply the Visconti Tarot. Today read more]

Renowned authority on shamanic healing, Alberto Villoldo, and best-selling oracle expert, Colette Baron-Reid, pair up again to create this vibrantly illustrated oracle that taps into the shamanic dream world of archetypes and symbolic consciousness. The dream world has long captivated the human psyche. Ancient mystics, early religious texts, and even modern psychoanalysis describe the power of dreams as a way to understand the deeper layers of our lives. The mythic landscapes and spirit beings that we encounter in this sacred realm shape and create our experiences in the waking world. We are all sacred dreamers, dreaming the world into being-what will you dream? The Shaman's Dream Oracle is a powerful collaboration between master teachers Alberto Villoldo and Colette Baron-Reid, bringing together the wisdom of his rich shamanic lineage with her expertise in oracle creation. The imagery and the insight in this oracle draw from the shamanic dream world of archetypes and magic and offer fresh, contemporary interpretations. This oracle will reveal how your dreamscapes guide you to co-create your world and manifest your most precious intentions.
"Deviant Moon Tarot" explores the dark side of the subconscious with haunting surreal imagery. Abandoned insane asylums provide the evocative backdrop for the traditional characters of tarot, created from photographs of 18th-century tombstones.
Arthur E. Waite and artist Pamela Colman Smith's Rider-Waite Tarot (1909) is the most popular Tarot in the world. Today, it is affectionately referred to as the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot in recognition of the high quality of Smith's contributions. Waite and Smith's deck has become the gold standard for identifying, categorizing, and analyzing contemporary Tarot and other meditation decks based on archetypes. Developments in both visual and literary history and theory have influenced Tarot since its fifteenth-century invention as a game and subsequent adaptations for esotericism, cartomancy, and meditation. Updated for an evolving cultural context, this analysis considers Tarot in relation to conventional art movements, including Symbolism, Surrealism, and the modernist "grid." Tarot has a strong relationship with post-modern art concepts such as the dissolution of the modernist hierarchy, Pattern and Decoration art, and collage. This work also explores the close connection between Tarot and the invention of the literary novel and includes new material on the representation of Tarot in film and fiction and a new chapter on the growing interest in the archetypal "shadow" and "shadow work," particularly in deck design and its applications in the new millennium.

To walk among the age-old trees of the wildwood is to journey back in time, to a place of great simplicity and deep understanding. In this re-awakening of the original Greenwood Tarot, Mark Ryan and John Matthews introduce us to the classic forest archetypes of the Green Man and Woman, the Archer, the Hooded Man and the Blasted Oak. Will Worthington's rich and vivid images bring this ancient world to life and make it possible to feel the magic and power of the wildwood. The Wildwood Tarot draws inspiration from pre-Celtic mythology and a belief system steeped in shamanic wisdom and forest lore. Based on the seasonal rhythm and festivals of the ancient year, it connects us with a long-lost world - one that can help us to make sense of our own.

In twentieth century Vienna, the art of Gustav Klimt held a primary position. Inspired by this modern master, Golden Tarot of Klimt is teeming with impressions, stamped in gold, that recount love, death, sensuality, and regeneration. Publisher Review: The art of Gustav Klimt (1862-1918), filled with symbolism, passion and eroticism, have become so popular that they appear everywhere, from posters on college student's walls to coffee mugs, from stained glass imitations to ceramic tile. His piece, "The Kiss," is virtually iconic and his painting of Adele Bloch-Bauer sold for $135 million in 2006, the highest price ever for a painting. Klimt combined graphic techniques with pictorial ones, flaunting conventions of the time, perhaps in anticipation of Weimar Germany that began a year after his death. Besides his mastery of inventive art [read more]

This deck combines mystical Sufi wisdom with classic tarot archetypes recast as Sufi concepts and figures, offering a new lens on the traditional tarot system. Sufism is often called the path to the heart because it is a process of turning within to the fountainhead of all knowledge through the opening and purification of the heart. In tarot, we meet the carefree fool, the enigmatic magician, the mystical high priestess, the commanding emperor, the nurturing empress and more - archetypes that represent the many qualities that each of us must call upon on as we follow the 'Fool's Journey' through life. Both Sufism and the tarot call the reader to walk the path of self-discovery and inner-knowing, uncovering secrets not to predict the future, but to discover answers to the big questions: Why are we here? Why do we feel the way we feel and act the way we do? What is our purpose in this life?
Magical imagery and full scenes grace the intensely colorful cards in this popular tarot deck.
