three-views, and special cutaway artworks of the more famous
aircraft in service, such as the Blackburn Skua torpedo bomber,

Aviation safety is of global concern. This book is about one
person's experience as a non-hypocritical safety regulator in a
challenging environment. The author has found her amazing career
experience interesting to share. The hazards of playing politics
and being hypocritical with safety regulation are clearly reflected
in this book. From the human angle, it shows the ugly face of
office politics and power play and their detrimental effects on
those at the receiving end. The rather slow pace of progress in the
aviation regulatory entity since the author's ordeal and her
subsequent forceful retirement is a lesson in why responsible
authorities shouldn't be cutting their noses to spite their faces.
The universally themed book titled, 'The Karmic Car Cycles', is a
hilarious romp of car related misadventures by the
author/protagonist Cliff R. Livingstone. The book hits the ground
running and is still running at the end. Having led one of the
wackiest, most unusual, and so far unlikely lives on the planet,
the author romps through these awesome and oftentimes unbelievable
Karmic Car adventures at the rate of about ten laughs a second. The
author proposes that his car misadventures occurred because he had
a Karmic Car Cycle going on. He then builds the case though a
series of hilarious 'vignettes' that work in their right own over
and above the narrative. In writing it is hard to find an approach
that stands out from the crowd. But this is what Livingstone has
done with this distinctive work which lives up to its billing as a
'non-stop romp, morning, noon and night'. The writing style is
uproariously funny, conversational, wry, even whimsical at times
and is never less than totally entertaining. The book is anything
but your standard bowl of cornflakes. Writing is about addressing
other people. Mr. Livingstone has accurately identified the things
about his life's experiences which could be of interest to others.
This gives the 'Karmic Car Cycles' a more universal appeal than an
average straight forward narrative novel might offer. The book also
has a universal appeal which everyone can enjoy, in the sense that
while located mainly in Canada, the misadventures could just as
easily have happened to anybody, anywhere in the world whether
rich, poor, male, female, sane, zany or just plain still in their
boots. Likewise, the author's self-imposed criterion that all
included material be entertaining and/or thought provoking for the
benefit of others is a rule from which many writers could benefit.

Boeing's 737 is indisputably the most popular and arguably the safest commercial airliner in the world. This book tells the story of how engineers and scientists finally uncovered the defect that had been engineered into the plane.
Motorcycle Engineering is a primer and technical introduction for
anyone interested in motorcycles, motorcycling, and the motorcycle
industry. It provides insight into how motorcycles are made and
operated. Motorcycles, mopeds, and scooters are important factors
in world transport, and they are playing an increasingly important
role in transport policy as we move towards greater environmental
awareness. Motorcycles and scooters give freedom of personal
transport that enable large commuter distances to be covered
quickly and easily. Their small footprint offers easy storage as
only minimal space is required. To celebrate the importance of
motorcycles on the world stage, a brief history is included with a
detailed timeline detailing the development of the motorcycle
alongside major world events. Written in an accessible fashion, no
previous knowledge of engineering or technology is required, as all
technical terms are readily explained and a glossary and
abbreviation list is included. Whether you are an enthusiast,
racer, student, or industry professional, you will surely find this
an enjoyable read and a handy reference book on your shelf.

Globally, we find ourselves in a novel set of circumstances where
our individual and collective relationships with leisure have
changed dramatically and are being dictated less by personal
preferences or even affluence, but rather by health, legal, and
societal factors. There is very little published work on changed
practices in leisure due to the pandemic, especially focusing on
activities that were previously considered ordinary and perhaps
even mundane. Contribute to the compilation of a historic record of
the way the pandemic has transformed various leisure behaviours in
diverse cultural and national contexts at this unprecedented time.
Produced from 1959 until 2000, the classic Mini is loved by
millions of owners, previous owners and enthusiasts. The Mini's
creator, Alec Issigonis, was given a free hand to make a proper
small car and his innovative design not only redefined the family
car, but also started a revolution as a performance car. Classic
Mini Specials and Moke explores the diverse range of vehicles that
used the Mini shape, as well as the only variation actually
designed by Alec Issigonis, the Mini Moke. In addition to the
famous race and rally cars, coachbuilt conversions and highly
modified saloons and commercials, Keith Mainland looks at overseas
Mini and Moke production and the many factory-produced limited
edition Minis. There is also advice about buying and owning your
own special Mini.
