A double bill of the classic 70's thrillers featuring an Oscar-winning Gene Hackman as 'Popeye' Doyle. In the first film Doyle and Buddy Russo (Roy Scheider) are tough New York cops attempting to crack a drug smuggling ring. They have a small candy store under surveillance, but Doyle is not happy when he receives the order to work with a pair of French federal agents on the case, one of whom he has a long-standing feud with. Hackman and director William Friedkin both earned Oscars for the film, which also took the award for Best Picture. Whilst in the sequel Doyle (Hackman) travels to Marseilles to track down Charnier (Fernando Rey), the leader of a drug smuggling ring whom he failed to capture in the first film. Kidnapped by dealers and pumped with heroin, Doyle has to kick his new-found habit before he can set about his revenge.

A group of golf caddies working at an exclusive country club will do anything to secure the prize of Top Caddy. Viewing from the sidelines are a debonair club member (Chevy Chase) and the course's psychotic greenkeeper (Bill Murray).

Updated version of the 1952 classic period drama, set in the 18th Century. The Scottish hero Rob Roy (Liam Neeson) borrows money from the powerful Marquess of Montrose (John Hurt) in order to provide for his MacGregor clan. However, Montrose's evil henchman Cunningham (Tim Roth) has other ideas and is determined to stop Roy getting his way.

Notorious religious satire from the Monty Python team which was banned in 17 countries on release. Set during Biblical times, the film tells the story of Brian (Graham Chapman), an accidental messiah whose life runs in eerie parallel to that of Jesus Christ. His misadventures come to the attention of Pilate (Michael Palin), crucifixion inevitably follows, and the film ends with the infamous group rendition of the song 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life'.

Walter Hill directs this sports drama starring Charles Bronson. In Depression-era New Orleans, bare-knuckle boxer Chaney (Bronson) teams up with gambler-turned-promoter Speed (James Coburn) to enter a series of illegal prize fights after drifting into town. Chaney's relationship with new girlfriend Lucy (Jill Ireland) suffers under the strain of his fighting career, which is itself hampered by corruption within the sport, as he makes his way through the New Orleans fighters willing to meet him.

Successful San Francisco tycoon and control freak Nicholas Van Orton (Michael Douglas) approaches his forty-eighth birthday with some trepidation. For it was at this age that his father fell from his mansion roof and died. Nicholas receives an introduction to Consumer Recreation Services from his younger brother, Conrad (Sean Penn), and is informed that he is now playing 'The Game'. Nicholas soon finds himself losing control and threatened with the loss of not just his company and fortune but also his life.

A large man-eating shark wreaks havoc off the coast of Long Island whilst local sheriff Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) finds himself caught between a panicking community and a town council eager to play down the reported deaths. However, the mounting bodycount cannot be ignored, so Brody heads off on a shark hunt, accompanied by marine biologist Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and salty old sea-dog Quint (Robert Shaw). John Williams won an Oscar for his menacing score. This DVD is certificated 12 due to the 'Making of...' documentary included, the VHS version is rated PG.

LA cop John Spartan (Sylvester Stallone), nicknamed 'Demolition Man' due to his hands-on approach to law enforcement, is condemned to 70 years in the penal freezer after being set up by Simon Phoenix (Wesley Snipes), Public Enemy Number One. Halfway through his sentence, however, both he and Phoenix are catapulted out of captivity, discovering their city has been transformed into a peaceful utopia, under the benevolent rule of mayor Dr Cocteau (Nigel Hawthorne).
