Florida's sunny climate and tourist attractions draw plenty of
visitors - some of whom never leave. This compilation of
supernatural tales shows Florida to be a state rife with eerie
occurrences and ghostly denizens. The stories include the spirit of
Uncle Charlie at Fernandina Beach's Palace Saloon, the infamous
Chupacabras of south Florida, a count's strange obsession with his
dead wife, and the mysterious Skunk Ape of Collier County.
This book describes a wide variety of speculations by many
authors about the consequences for humanity of coming into contact
with extraterrestrial intelligence. The assumptions underlying
those speculations are examined, and some conclusions are drawn.
The book emphasizes the consequences of contact rather than the
search, and takes account of popular views. As necessary
background, the book also includes brief summaries of the history
of thinking about extraterrestrial intelligence, searches for life
and for signals, contrasting paradigms of how contact might take
place, and the paradox that those paradigms allegedly create.
Twenty-six haunting tales of Florida's ghosts, from a haunted
schoolhouse in Micanopy to the many spirits lingering in St.
Augustine, America's oldest city.
From Atlanta to the Coastal Plain, Georgia is rich with tales of
the supernatural. This collection draws from the state's historic
past with stories of phantom pirates from the coast and restless
Civil War spirits from Sherman's March and Andersonville Prison.
Unusual creatures, such as the devilish Wog of Winder and the
monstrous Hogzilla of River Oak Plantation, make appearances.
There's also the fatal pillar in Augusta, the haunted orphanage in
Savannah, the ghost of Mary MacRae searching for her lost love on
St. Simons Island, and dozens more.
America's most populated city is also home to many ghosts and
strange creatures of the night. The most bizarre and frightening
stories of the paranormal from the five boroughs are compiled in
this volume, including the phantom searching for lost gold in the
Parrish House in the Bronx, the demonic flying Coney Island Monster
in Brooklyn, the haunted St. Paul's Chapel in Manhattan, the raving
ghost of Mount Olivet Cemetery in Queens, the restless spirits that
peer from the windows of the Kreischer Mansion in Staten Island,
and many others.
This book is a legend in itself. 1000s of people came forward with

A collection of supernatural tales and ghostly legends from around
the state, including the Barre Vampire, the Thetford Horror, the
ghost of Robert Lincoln, and the ghostly sentries of Bennington
Monument. Divides the state by regions and gives the best tales of
each.
All of my books, and in particular Sixty Psychic Years, relate my
concerns for Earth, its inhabitants and the creatures on it.
Listening to the various scientific bodies located around our
world, I contemplate their submissions of doom. The diversity of
opinion seems, at times, contradictory, and yet as Earth reveals in
her changing moods a threat to humanity's future, the majority of
us continue to ignore her warning. There are two over-powering
reasons that should influence us to pause and rethink the strategy
to live our lives here. First is the transient aspect of it,
second, our inevitable transition into the next world when it ends.
'Sixty Psychic Years' describes a life-time of psychic experiences
I have witnessed both from seances, held by my mother; a practicing
spiritual medium over that period, and many inexplicable events
that have occurred throughout my life.
This is an autobiography of my life, in which I have shared
different segments of time in order to reach out to those that may
relate to my experiences. The idea of this book was heavy on my
heart for a few years, due to the continued reports of sexual abuse
that has been broadcast around our country. The reality that the
total number of registered sex offenders in this nation has
increased to staggering numbers, beckons for someone to try
something to reverse this frightening trend. It is clear that a
cycle of perversion has swept our country from generation to
generation, harming many innocent victims along the way. It is my
goal to create a tool that the Holy Spirit of God can use to change
the wicked hearts of those caught in this cycle of perversion. My
focus through this book is to share how I was freed from the
bondage of sexual immorality. This book describes to the reader how
the Lord Jesus worked in my heart and life. Using the wisdom of His
Word to re-direct the choices I made on a daily basis. I was
changed both mentally and spiritually and I have complete faith
that the Lord can too change others overtaken in sexual immorality.
This change is laid out in detail in hopes that those affected will
learn from my mistakes in order to deter them from making the same
mistakes.
