Russell's autobiography first appeared in three volumes some 30
years ago. Here all three appear in one tome, with several other
notes by and about him, and a foreword by Michael Foot with whom he
worked in the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and who acclaims it
as 'one of the truly great autobiographies in our language'.
Russell was a hard-working philosopher and historian as well as a
connection of half the greatest houses in England; a pillar of
rational thought; and a wonderfully indiscreet writer. This work
leaves out little from an exceptionally complicated personal
history. (Kirkus UK)
