At fifty, Laura is diagnosed with Alzheimer. Since that fateful
day, in desperation, she prepares herself for that moment when she
will no longer be able to assume the responsibility of managing her
own life. Laura leaves her daughter, Ana, with special instructions
which will allow the two women to communicate even after the
disease has advanced. With From a Branch: Alzheimer, the author
sets out to demonstrate her firm belief that, while Reason may
become clouded, our feelings live on, complete, inviolate.
