With the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of Soviet
financial support, Cuba has struggled to survive. Now its people
search for ever more ingenious ways to get by. People queue for no
other reason than to sell their place to others. Newspapers are
resold once they have been read. This photographic collection
provides a visual record of the plight of the people in Cuba's
capital city.
