The expansion of the concept of style has its roots in the
diversity of theories on the subject and the different language
elements to which style is ascribed. Alongside the print media, a

for perspectives no longer limited to traditional stylistics and
text linguistics but extending to sociolinguistics, conversation
analysis, pragmatics, LSP research and translation studies. This
situation shows the necessity for discussion on the present state

a semiotic, cultural, and social phenomenon.
