The Treaty of Bayonne of 1388 between Juan I, King of Castile, and
John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster and Pretender to the Castilian
throne, was one of the most important treaties of the Hundred Years
War. In the transcription of the documents, the original spellings
of words, however inconsistent, have been respected.
