cancer, prostate cancer, high blood pressure and diabetes - and
reveals the astounding health benefits that simple dietary choices
can provide. Why rely on drugs and surgery to cure you of
life-threatening disease when the right decisions can prevent you
from falling ill to begin with? Based on the latest scientific

to reveal what, how and why different foods affect us, and how
increasing our consumption of certain foods and avoiding others can
dramatically reduce our risk of falling sick and even reverse the
effects of disease. It also shares Dr Greger's 'Daily Dozen' - the
twelve foods we should all eat every day to stay in the best of
health. With emphasis on individual family health history and
acknowledging that everyone needs something different, Dr Michael

healthier lives. 'Dr Michael Greger reveals the foods that will

I am vegan, have been for nearly twenty years and vegetarian for over thirty before that so I am 'biased' towards plant based eating.
But... this really thick paperback has over a quarter of it devoted to references for all the scientific studies and articles mentioned in the book. So it is not some pie in the sky I believe this is the only way to eat type of book. References... studies... and lots of information.
Michael Greger does not advocate any particular 'diet', he just points out what is good for the body, what is healthy and what is not.
Very happy I bought this.
