Green Chair, and Chief of the Division of Comparative Neurobiology, Marine Biomedical Institute; Professor and Chairman, Department of Anatomy & Neurosciences; and Professor, Department of Physiology & Biophysics; University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. Dr.Willis has been President of the Society for Neuroscience (1984-1985), the Association of Neuroscience Departments and Programs (1982-1983), and the American Pain Society (1982-1983). He has also been on the Executive Committee of the American Association of Anatomists (1982-1986) and the Council of the International Association for the Study of Pain (1984-1990). He received the M.D. degree (196) from the University of Texas Southwestern Medi Gebghart is Head, Department of Pharmacology, University of Iowa, Iowa City. The author or editor of numerous professional publications, he is editor-in-chief of the Journal of Pain and is the recipient of the Purdue Pharma Prize for Pain Research (2004).
