assessed. O'Grady offers a welcome survey of recent debates,
engaging with the work of Davidson, Devitt, Kuhn, Putnam, Quine,
Rorty, Searle, Winch and Wittgenstein, among others, and he offers
a distinct position of his own on this hotly contested issue.
