Im zweiten Teil des Buches werden moderne Datenbankkonzepte und -architekturen beschrieben, so vor allem die Verteilten und Foderierten Datenbanksysteme, die Objektorientierten und Analyseorientierten Datenbanksysteme (Data Warehouse-Systeme). Abschliessend werden die Entwicklungstendenzen aufgezeigt."
