The Active Shakespeare series is the best version of Shakespeare's texts that I have ever encountered. Along with all that other good texts (e.g. Stratford series) include, such as explanation of words and images, this series adds a great deal more. Each page has the original text accompanied by useful extras, creatively attached. These include 'Director's notepad' which suggests ways of staging the scene - vital for today's students; 'Thought bubbles' to point out issues to ponder, 'Tools of the trade' which explain techniques employed by Shakespeare and the Elizabethans when staging the play etc. etc. I cannot recommend this series highly enough.
