The phraseological examples are discussed in terms of their distinguishing formal and semantic characteristics and described from a semasiological and onomasiological perspective. The specific potential ways in which they figure in sentences and texts are also discussed. Special reference is made to the relation between phraseology and word formation in the formation of designations and to phraseological and dephrasiological derivation.
