After that debacle, Wein has his eyes locked on Marden, which has seen explosive growth in recent days. Most importantly, it serves as their gate to the West. To keep the country in check, Wein decides it might finally be time to form ties...with King Gruyere from Soljest.

Though Agata asks for his assistance in unifying the nation, Wein suspects the Elector has ulterior motives, and launches a secret operation while keeping up the facade of cooperation. It's a plan that could disrupt long-held traditions and upset the delicate balance of power in the Alliance, but Wein proceeds with his latest ploy as carefree as ever!

The Gathering of the Chosen. Once again, Wein finds himself with an invitation to a conference with some of most influential figures on the western continent. It's obvious that this is a ploy to sever his ties with the Empire, but Wein actively chooses to attend, if only to stir the pot. As soon as he steps foot in the host city of Lushan, however, he's framed for a murder he didn't commit!
