When an Irish busker and a young Czech mother meet through a shared
love of music, their songwriting sparks a deep connection and a
tender, longing romance that neither of them could have expected.
Based on the much-loved Oscar-winning film, Once is an
extraordinary, original and irresistibly joyous celebration of
love, friendship and music. With music and lyrics by Glen Hansard
and Markéta Irglová, it has a book written by Enda Walsh. Once
won eight Tony Awards when it opened on Broadway in 2012, including
Best Book and Best Musical. It opened in Dublin in February 2013
before transferring to the West End.

Time-of-flight (TOF) cameras provide a depth value at each pixel,
from which the 3D structure of the scene can be estimated. This new
type of active sensor makes it possible to go beyond traditional 2D
image processing, directly to depth-based and 3D scene processing.
Many computer vision and graphics applications can benefit from TOF
data, including 3D reconstruction, activity and gesture
recognition, motion capture and face detection. It is already
possible to use multiple TOF cameras, in order to increase the
scene coverage, and to combine the depth data with images from
several colour cameras. Mixed TOF and colour systems can be used
for computational photography, including full 3D scene modelling,
as well as for illumination and depth-of-field manipulations. This
work is a technical introduction to TOF sensors, from architectural
and design issues, to selected image processing and computer vision
methods.

In the ancient Tibetan Boen tradition, the secret of serene,
successful living is to have no fear. But in our demanding society,
where stress is the norm, fearfulness can become a way of life. In
this inspiring book, leading Tibetan Boen practitioner Christopher
Hansard explains the 'twelve types of fear' believed by traditional
teaching to affect our lives. He shares with us age-old techniques
for facing and overcoming these fears, and shows how without them
we can better connect with our deepest selves, transform
relationships and find increased peace, humour and confidence.
Drawing from his deep personal knowledge of Tibetan teachings, and
with easy-to-follow exercises and inspiring case studies,
Christopher shows us how we can stop living with our fears - and
start living our life.

It is common knowledge that the way we think profoundly affects our
health and happiness. As Tibetan Bon culture has known for
centuries, true, original thought is one of the most powerful
energy resources that we each have, and tapping into it can bring
us great spiritual, emotional and financial success. But, as
Christopher Hansard - leading authority in Tibetan medicine -
explains, most of us don't know how to think effectively. What we
imagine to be thoughts are simply reactions to our environment and
to other people, and are far removed from 'original thought', which
has the power to transform lives. In this enlightening book,
Hansard shows us how to take control of our thinking. Using simple
meditations and exercises he shows how we can each harness the
power of positive thinking to block negativity, transform emotions,
and discover the deepest meaning of our lives, to make it the life
we truly want to live.

In May 1999 the Scottish Parliament opened with high expectations.
The decade since has seen a transformation in Scottish politics. As
the Parliament's 10th anniversary approaches, now is the perfect
time to reflect on its role in the Scottish and wider UK political
process. What have been the challenges and its achievements? Have
expectations been met? The Scottish Parliament's four Founding
Principles - access and participation, equal opportunities,
accountability and power sharing - aimed to establish a body
answerable to the people of Scotland. This project, run by the
Hansard Society, will bring together a group of varied and
distinguished commentators to discuss some of the key issues in the
development of the Scottish Parliament over the past decade. They
will explore whether initial expectations have been met and analyse
how the Parliament has evolved at the core of a new Scottish
political process.
