Inspired by experiences from the early days in the career of the film's star, actor Channing Tatum, the film follows Mike (Tatum) as he takes a young dancer called The Kid (Alex Pettyfer) under his wing and tutors him in the arts of all-night partying, picking up women and making easy money.
