This book presents serious academic scholarship on ""Buffy the Vampire Slayer"". It differs from other works because it uses ""Buffy"" as a primary text and not as a secondary instrument to explore other concepts. In doing so, it demonstrates that popular culture studies should be approached with the same serious attention paid to classic philosophy and other long-established fields. Essays assemble the ""Buffy"" canon and explore how ""Buffy"" treats Shakespeare, comics, power, sisterhood, apocalyptic revisionism, folklore, feminism(s), redemption, patriarchy, identity and education.
Comedy adventure about four middle-aged bikers trying to regain their youth. Woody (John Travolta), convinces his three buddies to take a road trip from Cincinatti to Mexico to escape their mundane existence. Finally arriving in New Mexico, they stop off at a bar, not realising that it belongs to the 'Del Fuegos', a local biker gang. When Dudley (William H. Macy) has his bike stolen by the leader of the rival gang, Woody decides to get it back, accidentally blowing up the bar in the process. With the 'Del Fuegos' in hot pursuit, it's not long before the 'Wild Hogs' are cornered, and have to make a stand.

Third instalment in the 'K-9' series, directed by Richard J. Lewis and starring James Belushi, Gary Basaraba and Kim Huffman. Detective Dooley (Belushi) and his police hound Jerry Lee finally hand in their badges but continue their fight against crime as private detectives. When they interrupt a computer company robbery on their final night as official police officers, it leads to all kinds of trouble. It seems that Jerry Lee has managed to swallow a microchip discarded by the thieves, and this provides the crimebusting duo with the vital first clue in their attempts to unravel the mystery.
Tragic drama chronicling the last day of Oscar Grant III, who was fatally shot in the back by a police officer at Oakland's Fruitvale BART station in the early hours of New Year's Day 2009. The film follows Oscar (Michael B. Jordan) as he tries to start afresh before the beginning of the new year by being a better father to his daughter Tatiana (Ariana Neal) and a better partner to his girlfriend Sophina (Melonie Diaz). Later in the evening, Oscar travels to San Francisco to attend a New Year's party and it is when he is returning from the festivities that a fight breaks out between him and an old prison acquaintance. The police are then alerted to the trouble and take Oscar and his friends into custody. Shortly afterwards, a lapse in judgement by one of the police officers leads to a tragic outcome.
Yam Laranas directs this horror following an ex-con as he attempts to readjust to life on the outside. Bobby (Jesse Bradford) has just been released from prison having served the sentence he was given for murdering a man who tried to rape his girlfriend Alyssa (Amelia Warner). He returns to his mother's apartment in New York City, which has been vacant since her death. Bobby finds the apartment strange. He discovers drops of blood that appear to be fresh and hears continual arguments from the apartment next door, which suggest to him that a man is abusing his wife and daughter. When he finally snaps and calls the police things become even stranger: the apartment next door is vacant, the police tell him. Where, then, are the noises coming from?
