Autonomous Safety Control of Flight Vehicles presents a systematic methodology for improving the safety of aerospace vehicles in the face of the following occurrences: a loss of control effectiveness of actuators and control surface impairments; the disturbance of observer-based control against multiple disturbances; actuator faults and model uncertainties in hypersonic gliding vehicles; and faults arising from actuator faults and sensor faults. About the Authors: Xiang Yu is a Professor with the School of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering, Beihang University, Beijing, China. His research interests include safety control of aerospace engineering systems, guidance, navigation, and control of unmanned aerial vehicles. Lei Guo, appointed as "Chang Jiang Scholar Chair Professor", is a Professor with the School of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering, Beihang University, Beijing, China. Youmin Zhang is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Aerospace Engineering, Concordia University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Validations of women's political activism and loyalism to the nation attest to tanci as a premium vehicle for disseminating progressive social incentives to popular audiences. Women's tanci marks early modern writers' endeavors to carve out a space of feminine becoming, a discursive arena of feminine appropriation, reinvention, and boundary-crossings. In this light, women's tanci portrays gendered mobility through depictions of a heroine's voyages or social ascent, and entails a forward-moving historical progression toward a more autonomous and vested model of feminine subjectivity.

Thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) have been widely used to protect the superalloy components from the hot gas stream in gas turbine engines. Driven by the higher inlet temperature of modern gas turbine engines for higher efficiency and less harmful gas emission, exploration of TBC new materials and thermal radiation effects of TBCs have recently attracted more attentions. This research explored the potential application of gadolinium zirconate as a promising new TBC material due to its lower thermal conductivity, higher phase stability, and higher CMAS-resistance than conventional YSZ material. The thermal cycling tests were performed using a novel test rig which was designed to mimic the complex working condition of TBCs, and the thermal radiation properties were characterized in the wavelength range where turbine engine thermal radiation is most concentrated. This book is suitable for both beginners and professions in the field of TBCs, as it covers both the brief introduction of TBC system, deposition methods, recent development and the in-depth analysis of failure mechanisms and different models to determine the coating absorption and scattering coefficients.
