This book explains how gamification, specifically enterprise
gamification, can help mangers in multiple areas within an
enterprise to improve attrition. Employee Engagement is an
important component to foster employee relations with the
organization. Gamification by its inherent design helps to increase
engagement within an enterprise. Several successful case studies in
Gamification are presented, which present new practical tips for
Gamification for IT Management. By introducing general IT
management concepts related to the specific environment managers
work in, the authors then detail the benefits of introducing
gamification in this very environment to resolve business issues.
IT Managers, as well as HR professionals, Group Heads and Delivery
Leaders will find this be a useful resource to understand how
Gamification can improve their everyday work. The book can also be
used as a reference for engaging learners and employees to improve
their productivity in organizations.
World oceans cover about 3/4th of earth's surface. As per the UN
estimates, the total amount of water on earth is about 1400
Mill.Cu.Kms which is enough to cover the earth with a layer of 3000
mtrs depth. However only 2.7% of the total water available on the
earth is fresh water of which about 75.2% lies frozen in Polar
Regions and another 22.6% is present as ground water. The crisis
about economic water resources devt. and better management thus
arises because most of the water is not available for use and
secondly it is characterized by its highly uneven spatial
distribution.Access to adequate water supply is not only a
fundamental need and human right as per UN MDGs. One of its targets
is to: "Halve, by 2015, the proportion of people without
sustainable access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation."
The lack of access to adequate water contributes to water-based
disease transmission and water-washed diseases, leads to mortality,
morbidity and illnesses (eg.Diarrohoea). 200 people are interviewed
from four villages of Nizamabad town. ChiSquare, Markov tests used
to predict Cons.Behavior patterns. The target groups are Mini.of
Rural & Urban Devt, Consumers & Bottlers.
The basic characteristic of oral controlled release system is to
produce therapeutically efficacious blood levels in a constant
controlled manner over a long duration. One of the technique is
modified oral devices, the rate of drug absorption determination be
adjusted through a controlled rate of drug release from the matrix
core layered with a swellable polymer by modulating the drug
release. These systems can be developed on large scale using
layered tablet press.
The objective of this work was to develop of a suitable SR tablet
formulation of Eplerenone and to study the effect of polymers such
as HPMC K4M, HPMC K15M, NaCMC, Guar gum, Xanthan gum and Karaya gum
on drug release. Profile and to get an optimized formulation.
Eplerenone binds to the mineralo corticoidreceptorand blocks the
binding of aldosterone, a component of the
renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS). It has a half life of
4 hrs. When dose is missing it may cause nocturnal attack, so
attention was made to develop the Sustained release tablets of
Eplerenone. The purpose of controlled release systems is to
maintain drug concentration in the blood or in target tissues at a
desired value as long as possible. In other words, they are able to
exert a control on the drug release rate and duration. In the
market only IR tablets of Eplerenone were available which are
costly. So there is a need to formulate SRMT of Eplerenone to
reduce the cost and increase the patient compliance."
In recent years, in association with progress and innovation in the
field of pharmaceutical technology, there has been an increasing
effort to develop prolonged release dosage forms for many drugs.
Correspondingly, a growing number of new prolonged release dosage
forms have been submitted for regulatory approval. Prolonged
release dosage forms have many advantages in safety and efficacy
over immediate release drug products in that the frequency of
dosing can be reduced, drug efficacy can be prolonged and the
incidence and/or intensity of adverse effects can be decreased.
However, some prolonged release dosage forms have less clear
rationale or are developed for active ingredients which are not
appropriate for prolonged release dosage forms. In other cases,
prolonged release dosage forms are designed without full
consideration of the basic properties of the drugs. Moreover,
standards for dissolution tests, which are important for evaluating
prolonged release dosage forms, have not appropriately been
established. As a result, it is often difficult to evaluate whether
a prolonged release dosage form is acceptable or not.
