With the popularity of hardware security research, several edited monograms have been published, which aim at summarizing the research in a particular field. Typically, each book chapter is a recompilation of one or more research papers, and the focus is on summarizing the state-of-the-art research. Different from the edited monograms, the chapters in this book are not re-compilations of research papers. The book follows a pedagogical approach. Each chapter has been planned to emphasize the fundamental principles behind the logic locking algorithms and relate concepts to each other using a systematization of knowledge approach. Furthermore, the authors of this book have contributed to this field significantly through numerous fundamental papers.

Electrostatic probes are considered to be the most powerful and experimentally simplest tools for characterization of low temperature plasmas. Up until now, different pure metals have been tested as a probe tip material; however, it would be hard to find any literature on the use of nickel-chrome alloy as a probe tip material. The objective of the book was to develop nickel-chrome multi-tip Langmuir probe diagnostics for characterization of low temperature plasmas. This book, therefore, provides a deep insight into the different types of low temperature discharge plasmas, working principle/designing of muti-tip probe diagnostics, characterization of different plasma parameters, etc. The added literature would also help in shedding some light on the new and exciting probe tip materials for study of the laboratory built plasmas.
Soybean (Glycine max (L) Merrill is one of the oldest crops of the world. Nutritionally, soybean seed has been considered to be the best of all pulses because of its high protein contents. Today, it is the largest source of oil for human consumption as well as protein for livestock feed. This book reviews the soybean crop, its nutritive value, seed description, anatomy and growth, nodulation, complete production technology and various biotic diseases. This book also covers part of original research on biological control of charcoal rot (Macrophomina phaseolina) (Tassi.) Goid of soybean.
Sunflower is world's fourth prevalent oilseed and premier cash crop. Pakistan is facing an acute dearth of edible oils and imports it to encounter its low oilseeds production. Amid numerous factors responsible for low yield, management of fertilizers and planting pattern are of copious importance. Plant population and their appropriate adjustment in field is the vital component of package production technology. Nutrients management has prime prominence and maximum intrinsic potential of achene yield can only be achieved when nutrients are applied in balanced form with recommended doses of fertilizers. This book not only describes the sunflower agronomy but also accentuated that sunflower hybrid Hysun-33, should be planted at a planting distance of 75 x 20 cm and be provided with 150-105 N-P kg ha-1 fertilizers to acquire its supreme yield potential.
Wheat is the most widely grown cereal grain crop and staple food of people in the world. Among many other factors of low yield in wheat, one of the most serious but less addressed causes is the presence of weeds. Weeds compete with crops for nutrients, light, space, moisture and cause reduction in wheat vigor, tillering, head size, kernel weight. Weeds lower the market value of the produce and hence bring economic losses to the growers. Chemical weed control is preferred over other weed control methods like manual weeding, mechanical weeding, intercropping, crop rotation and stale seed bed technique because it is quick, more effective and relatively cheaper. Grassy (narrow leaved) weeds like Phalaris minor, Avena fatua, Hordeum vulgare and Cyperus rotandus are the serious problem in wheat. This book describes identification of different grassy weeds present in wheat fields and most economical herbicides for controlling these weeds, especially against P. minor.
The objective of the study was to investigate the effects of dietary -lipoic acid (ALA) and -tocopherol acetate (AT) on meat quality, ALA, AT content and lipid oxidation in broiler white and red meat. ALA and AT increased in the tissue thus reducing lipid oxidation. There was a progressive increase in oxidative stability as dietary ALA level increased in the boiler feed. Different combination of ALA (25, 75, 150 mg/kg feed) with AT (200 mg/kg feed) supplemented in the broiler feed significantly reduced the fat deposition and increased water content in both red and white meat however; there was no momentous change in the protein content. Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) significantly decreased in the group receiving high dose of ALA probably due to more accumulation of ALA and AT. Likewise, total phenolic contents (TPC) and free radical scavenging activity increased in meat cuts as the concentration of ALA increased with constant level of AT supplemented feed. Conclusively, stability of the broiler meat tissues increased by using ALA supplemented in feed.
