Diese Studie hat sich einen doppelten Umbruch zum Gegenstand gemacht: politische Wende und Arbeitslosigkeit werden in ihren Auswirkungen auf die Betroffenen untersucht. Dem Forschungsbericht liegen offene Interviews und Biographiefragebogen von 50 Lehrerinnen und Lehrern vor, die nach der Wende in den neuen Bundeslandern arbeitslos geworden sind.
Die verbindet dabei verschiedene theoretische Perspektiven:
- Vom Blickwinkel sozialwissenschaftlicher Transformationsforschung aus werden die subjektiven Wirkungen gesellschaftlicher Veranderungsprozesse im Rahmen der Deutschen Einheit untersucht;
