meesterwerk behou.

internasionaal erkende Suid-Afrikaanse kinderboek-illustreerder,
sowel as 'n gevestigde kunstenaar wat se werk plaaslik en oorsee
aftrek geniet.
By elke letter laat
(Plop!). Elke letter beslaan twee bladsye.
elk plesier sal verskaf!

Noted poet Jorge Lujan and South Africa's illustrious illustrator Piet Grobler teamed up to produce this exquisite celebration of color.
As day turns into night, we are given fleeting, evocative glimpses of the qualities inherent in a range of colors. An antelope and some children are pictured inhabiting this delicate world.
This bilingual, bicultural book presents us with a beautiful vision of a planet in which nature, words, and the rising and setting of the sun and the moon exist in harmony.
Python has wrapped himself around the melon/mango/pomegranate tree
with its delicious fruit, and he won't share the fruit unless the
animals can tell him the correct name of the tree. Elephant, Monkey
and Zebra each in turn visit Lion, who alone knows the name of the
tree. But every time, the animals forget the name on the journey
back to the tree. Then Tortoise, the slowest, smallest animal goes
to Lion - and sings a special song to remind him of the name. It is
the Bojabi Tree! Python unwraps himself from the trunk, and all the
animals share a feast.
After attending an exhibition of the work of his late friend Viktor
Hartmann in 1874, Mussorgsky composed a piano work which in 1922
was orchestrated by Ravel and then became world renowned. With his
rhymes Philip de Vos has modernised this piece by making it
accessible to modern readers, whilst still maintaining the feeling
of this classic masterpiece. The witty and smart Pictures at an
Exhibition follows the visitor as he moves from one painting to the
next.
In 1838, Robert Schumann composed a 13 piece piano work which he
entitled Kinderszenen (Scenes from Childhood). He later added
individual titles for each movement, after his wife Clara commented
that he sometimes seemed like a child himself. These 13 pieces
depict the daily life and experiences of a child, as well as his
relationship with his parents and with his own world – as seen from
a nostalgic adult’s perspective. Philip de Vos was inspired by both
Schumann’s music and titles to write verses of his own.
Excitement spreads like bush through the jungle. Earth-goddesses
are planning a conference! From Australia to Antarctica, the Amazon
to Africa, goddesses will debate the burning environmental issues
of our times...and bushy-tailed, smooth-talking Coyote wants in on
the action! Can this infamous trickster come up with a plan to
infiltrate the conference and leave a lasting legacy for our
planet? A rip-roaring poem by a master poet in celebration of Earth
Day.
nommers genaamd Kinderszenen (Kindertonele) geskryf, waarvoor hy
