Project management (PM), traditionally employed to implement projects, has developed into Organizational Project Management, as organizations are increasingly using projects to deliver strategies. The emergence of program and portfolio management has also contributed to this move. PM researchers need to become more innovative in their research approaches. They need to connect with the broader currents of social science in relevant fields, such as organization theory. Outside the specific field, there is a great deal that can usefully be imported, transformed, and translated so that it is fit for project management research purposes. More trans-disciplinary, translational, and transformational approaches for conducting project-related research are required, and this book goes a long way to providing foundations for them. The book encompasses reflections on fundamental questions underlying any research, such as the type of knowledge sought, as well as the epistemological and ontological assumptions. Derzeit existieren zwei Modelle, in welcher Form die Liberalisierung erfolgen soll. Ein Modell wurde vom Bundesamt fur Energie (BFE) ausgearbeitet. Die Botschaft zum Elektrizitatsmarktgesetz (EMG) wurde im Juni 1999 veroffentlicht. Die Alternative besteht in der Kritik an dieser Botschaft und wurde vom Verband Schweizerischer Elektrizitatswerke (VSE) in einem Papier im Mai 1999 dargelegt. In der Schweiz gibt es eine sehr heterogene Struktur von Anbietern. Von grossen Uberlandwerken bis zu kleinen Verteilunternehmen mit nur wenigen Kunden sind Unternehmungen aller Grossenordnungen zu finden. Eine Offnung des Marktes birgt daher in unterschiedlichem Masse Chancen und Gefahren fur die Anbieter. Project Management Offices (PMOs) are not etched in stone. They are complex entities which go through frequent transformations during their average two-year life span. So, what does that mean to project professionals? Identifying the Forces Driving Frequent Change in PMOs answers this question for both researchers and practitioners based on a three-year research effort focused on the organizational change process surrounding the transformation of a PMO. Seventeen case studies and 184 responses to a questionnaire provide the foundation. Results show the temporary nature of PMOs and reveal that significant changes in PMOs can be associated with an organization's internal and external environment.

English summary: Search engines play a central role in internet usage which cannot be overestimated. To a certain degree they make the mesmerizing diversity of information available online manageable. Currently, they are the most effective way to retrieve information from the web quickly and efficiently for both professional and home users. The most widely used search engines are Google, Bing and Yahoo, with Google occupying a prominent position in Europe with a market share of more than 90%. Yet the way that search engines operate is still not very transparent. Neither providers nor users of online content are fully able to understand what kind of information is being selected and prioritized according to which criteria. These conference proceedings address these and other questions from multi-disciplinary perspectives.
