The acicular particle shape of Wollastonite lends itself to creating texture from ready-made paints such as Matisse background for pastels or mixing with Polymer Gloss Varnish, to create areas of texture on a canvas or painting. Mix up to 20-50% Wollastonite to gesso paint to create a superb textured surface for pastels and charcoal. Wollastonite produces a more uneven texture than Ground Quartz, therefore giving a great ground for harder pastels (use Ground Quartz for soft pastels). Wollastonite is ideal for acrylic paints due to its alkaline properties. Schmincke Acrylic Matt Varnish is a synthetic resin aerosol varnish that provides a flexible and removable film.A final matt varnish for acrylic paintings it is colourless, non-yellowing, age-resistant, fast drying and offers UV protection.

Acrylic Artist Colour contains one of the widest ranges of pure pigments available for fine arts, in a dispersion of 100 per cent acrylic resin. The colours offer the highest grade of permanence and lightfastness. 

Following traditional methods, most of the colours in the range have been formulated with only one pigment, resulting in maximum purity and colour strength and giving the artist complete control over his material in mixtures and compositions. Pigments are identified on the label and in the colour chart.

Vallejo Studio Acrylic contains the same resin as Acrylic Artist Colour, and many of the same pigments; the pigments selected for this range have been chosen for their permanence, purity and colour intensity, always keeping in mind the purpose of offering an excellent product at a moderate and uniform price.Studio Acrylic colours do not contain fillers of any kind, so that the colours have great strength and chromatic purity. They are opaque or transparent, depending on the nature of the pigment, and dry to a semi matte finish. These acrylics do not contain any toxic pigments or derivatives of heavy metals, and do not create waste products harmful to the environment.This is a hand painted colour chart which will provide an exact guide to the shade and lustre of each colour in the range.
