Artists will be excited by the varying effects achievable with the different methods used to apply the Matisse Dry Mediums. They provide magnificent textural effects and will surprise artists and viewers alike. These smooth round glass beads are principally composed of silicon dioxide. They can be used on paintings, mixed media or collage. For best results mix with Gel Medium, or Gloss Varnish and Gloss Medium to maintain brightness. Because they are absolutely smooth it is suggested that art works using these glass beads are varnished with either Gloss Varnish and Gloss Medium, to securely seal the beads to the support. Read more about this medium in this Jackson's Art blog post.

Fluid Acrylics contain high pigment levels suspended in an acrylic polymer vehicle. The result offers fine dispersion, high tinting strength, durability, flexibility and good adhesion. Fluid Acrylics are ideal for spraying, brushing and staining. Produced from lightfast pigments, not dyes, they offer very strong colours with very thin consistencies.

By the end of 2005, Old Holland had developed a range of 168 New Masters Classic Acrylics, consisting of opaque and transparent lightfast colours, free of any kind of additives and filler, with a maximum possible pigment content and a minimum colour difference between wet and dry paint. The result of the high dose of pigment and the patented binding system is that each colour displays the unique characteristics of the individual pigment. The paint dries to a satin gloss and can be used in a wide range of techniques, from thick impasto to ultra-thin glazing.
Black Gesso Primer is a unique formulation which needs no dilution. This product is highly adhesive and is ideal for directly sealing all semi-absorbent surfaces before applying colour - both acrylics and oils. Daler Rowney’s Black Gesso Primer is suitable for both interior and exterior applications. It dries quickly to produce a matt black surface, with a slight tooth, which is easily sanded for highly detailed work. If used as a ground for acrylics, one coat is normally sufficient, but up to three coats may be required for oil colour.

With Original and Heavy Body versions, System 3 acrylics are highly versatile, water-based acrylic colours. They offer an excellent painting experience at an economical price. Only high-quality pigments are used in the manufacture of the System 3 acrylic ranges, offering significantly greater loading than in other acrylic ranges available in this class. System 3’s comprehensive range of colours offers excellent light-fastness, permanence, durability and covering power. All colours can be thinned with water to pale washes, or used directly from the pot or tube; each form dries quickly to create an insoluble film. The quick drying properties of the range enable the artist to work quickly, superimposing or juxtaposing colours without unnecessary fuss. All System 3 Original and Heavy Body colours are fully intermixable and suitable for interior use. As they are not lightfast, fluorescent colours are not recommended for exterior use; all other colours are both lightfast and durable.
