"Three Agriculture-related problems" is a social problem of public
concern in China since its reform and opening up program. Nowadays,
people from all walks of life have realized the seriousness of the
problem, the urgency of solving the problem and the great
significance of solving the problem to the deepening of socialist
economic market. So far, there have been great achievements in the
economic and sociological circles, but the research in the legal
field is relatively weak. In search for methods and approaches for
solutions, many researchers stopped where the problems arose.
Therefore, to solve the "three agriculture-related problems"
fundamentally, more insightful research shall be made from a higher
perspective, that is, the rule of law.

tomos.
The farm bill governs federal farm and food policy and is renewed
about every five years. The 110th Congress is seeking to revise the
current farm bill (P.L. 107-171), which covers a wide range of
programs including commodity price and income support, agricultural
conservation, farm credit, research, rural development, and foreign
and domestic food programs, among others.
This book is a summary and a survey, spelling out the
considerations that Congress found were a part of the realities of
agricultural employment in 20th (and 21st) Century America. It
begins in the 1960s with the advent of FLCRA, and proceeds through
the enactment of MSPA and to the end of the century. But, it is
also a summary of developments in the history of the two statutes,
written from the perspective of a labour economist. It may, from
time to time, be revised as new developments occur.
Americans have always regarded farming as a special calling, one
imbued with the Jeffersonian values of individualism and self-
sufficiency. As Victoria Saker Woeste demonstrates, farming's
cultural image continued to shape Americans' expectations of rural
society long after industrialization radically transformed the
business of agriculture. Even as farmers enthusiastically embraced
cooperative marketing to create unprecedented industry- wide
monopolies and control prices, they claimed they were simply
preserving their traditional place in society. In fact, the new
legal form of cooperation far outpaced judicial and legislative
developments at both the state and federal levels, resulting in a
legal and political struggle to redefine the place of agriculture
in the industrial market. Woeste shows that farmers were adept at
both borrowing such legal forms as the corporate trust for their
own purposes and obtaining legislative recognition of the new
cooperative style. In the process, however, the first rule of
capitalism--every person for him- or herself--trumped the
traditional principle of cooperation. After 1922, state and federal
law wholly endorsed cooperation's new form. Indeed, says Woeste,
because of its corporate roots, this model of cooperation fit so
neatly with the regulatory paradigms of the first half of the
twentieth century that it became an essential policy of the modern
administrative state. |Examines changes in the farming industry
from 1865-1945, when industrialization radically transformed the
business of agriculture. Uses the example of cooperative marketing
to show how farmers used legal strategies to their own purposes.
Today security, quality and the availability of food are very
important. The complex relations of the above mentioned issues
evole in different fields of law. This book edited by Ines Hartel
and Roman Budzinowski covers a wide range of topics via analysis
and discussion in the European context, such as the right to food,
Common Agricultural Policy, contractual relations and value chains
in the agri-food sector, organic farming, food production safety
issues, questions of food labelling, Health Claims, Novel Food,
Patents, the role of institutions such as EFSA, the responsibility
of trade and CSR. Legal frameworks, essential concerns and future
developments of food security, food safety and food quality are the
basis for discussion and solution finding.
