other and back, the SAMD is the first to offer interactive
translations for all eleven South African languages in one volume.
At a glance, core vocabulary can be translated from one South
African language into any other South African language. The ease of
use and accessibility of the SAMD make it an exceptionally powerful

indigenous languages of South Africa have been performed by leading
language practitioners, ensuring quality and reliability. With
English as the cornerstone of this interactive language matrix, the
dictionary provides an explanation for each entry, to ensure
correct comprehension of the context of each entry. While the SAMD
does not claim to be comprehensive, it does strive to cover the
basic vocabulary and phrases generally used in everyday life. This
uniquely South African dictionary has been created by South
Africans for South Africans and visitors to this beautiful country.
