You have a giant in your life. An adversary that's diminishing your
ability to live fully in Christ. Whatever it may be-rejection,
fear, anger, comfort, or addiction-this giant stands between you
and God's promise...and it must fall. Like with David and the
Israelites, God has a better plan for you than to stand and be
taunted day after day by a 9-foot Goliath. God's plan for you is to
live in victory. In this six-session video Bible study (streaming
code included), Pastor Louie Giglio reveals a twist in the story of
David and Goliath that will help you and your study group see how
God works victories in the lives of his people. This study guide
has everything you need for a full Bible study experience,
including: The study guide itself-with discussion and reflection
questions, activities, video notes, and a leader's guide. An
individual access code to stream all six video sessions online (you
don't need to buy a DVD!). Each session will equip you with
practical, hands-on steps to take after engaging in passages from
the Bible and Louie's video talks, which show how living free from
our giants means putting our hope in Jesus. When we do, we get to
watch Goliath fall. Sessions and video run times: Dead but Still

Are you looking for a mentor? Do you want to become a mentor? Are
you confused about exactly what mentoring is? Walter Wright is a
firm believer in relational leadership. In this book, he shares his
experiences both as a mentor and a mentoree. He provides useful
analogies and stories about a mentoring relationship and points out
some potential pitfalls. Choosing a mentor is an important
decision, as is choosing to be a mentor. This book guides you
through that choice, to forming a relationship and developing that
relationship over the years. It shows you how the relationship can
be mutually beneficial, with both mentor and mentoree growing in
maturity and knowledge. Wright identifies some qualities that make
a good mentor, what you should be looking for in a potential
mentor, and what a mentor should be looking to develop in
themselves. Reflecting on the character, heart, and hope of
relational leadership, this book is useful for anyone considering
becoming a mentor, whether in a church environment or in a business
environment. It identifies some key questions that a mentor should
ask of their mentoree and guides you through developing the
mentoring relationship.

G. Campbell Morgan's classic guide to making and delivering
religious sermons retains all of its authority and usefulness in
the modern day. This book contains a simple series of instructions
which focus and instruct upon key attributes all good sermons must
possess. Using the Bible itself as a guide to dispensing wisdom in
speech, Morgan introduces a number of points: how a sermon should
commence by setting an atmosphere and receiving the audience's
attention; continue by presenting a message that resounds; and
finish by affirming the wise truth of the words as presented by
God. The author was himself a famous preacher, who would famously
captivate congregations with his passionately delivered sermons.
Unlike many, less organized churchmen, Morgan wrote his own unique
and strikingly eloquent sermons. These original works gained the
admiration of scholars and lay worshipers, were influential in the
evangelical movement of the early 20th century.
In this classic manual of faith, Reuben Archer Torrey examines the
Holy Spirit, that readers may appreciate its divine nature.
Describing the Holy Spirit with close quotations of scripture,
Torrey immerses us with clarity supported by the Biblical New
Testament. We learn how the Holy Spirit is distinct from both God
and Jesus Christ, how it affects the material universe and every
one of our lives, and how it was an important witness to the life
and doctrines of Jesus. It is the Holy Spirit that acts to set
believers on a path of ridding themselves of sin. We are all Sons
of God; it is by guiding us towards that sensible eventuality that
the Holy Spirit works its essential good within each of our souls.
It not only fulfills a role as an educator of Christians needful of
faith, but supervises the baptism and informs some of the greatest
prophets, saints and apostles of spiritual wisdom.
Can a Believer in Christ Go to Hell? This book reveals the
answer to that question with supporting Bible verses. It reveals
the reality of how lost most believers are, because of the lack of
hearing the preached and taught Word of God. It reveals how most
believers live like they are unsaved, by seeking selfish pleasures
and sinking deeper and deeper in their sins. It also shows just how
lost most believers are, with a distant relationship with Jesus.
This will be the most important question you will ever ask
yourself, and if you are not sure if you are heaven or hell bound,
then let me guide you to the answer that's found in the Word. So
many think just because Jesus died for our sins, that we can do
whatever we want and plead the blood. I want to lead you to the
truth and encourage everyone that we can live like the Christians
we claim we are. That is what God wants, isn't it? Grace doesn't
give us the right to live ungodly, while claiming to be believers.
The wages of sin is death, and our bodies are God's temple, so
let's live to please Him and not self. It's my duty to reveal to
you the message He gave me, and I pray this book makes a huge
difference in your life. This is why I was born, so that this
information would be told and souls would repent and run to Jesus.
So that He would change us and make our lives worthy of His
sacrifice. Can a believer in Christ go to hell? Let's find out.
The success of military chaplaincy depends on the freedoms of its
members to fulfill their calling from God. Matters of Conscience
proposes that a chaplain's ultimate allegiance must be to Jesus
Christ. Otherwise, his commitment to the Constitution - and to
those he ministers to - is disingenuous. Matters of Conscience
explores the biblical foundation of servant leadership and
Christ-centered worship "within" the chapel walls, then dives
deeply into how theology can be applied during both peacetime and
war to help those spiritually wounded by the effects of battle.
