Barbie and her friends (also all called Barbie) live in Barbie Land, a world made perfect for Barbies, where Ken and all the other Kens live in adoration of their female counterparts. Though Barbie is thriving in the brightly-coloured utopia of Barbie Land where Barbies can be anything they want to be, she begins to be troubled by dark and deep thoughts that make her question what lies beyond her world.

When Martians arrive on planet Earth, American President James Dale (Jack Nicholson) is persuaded to extend the hand of friendship.
